At Twitch’s listed US Tier 1 web price of $5.99 per subscription, 500 gifted subs would cost $2,995 before any applicable tax. That is an arithmetic estimate—not a universal checkout quote. Twitch uses local subscription pricing, so the actual amount depends on the buyer’s location, gift tier, purchase method and any tax shown at checkout.
How the $2,995 estimate is calculated
Twitch’s Local Subscription Pricing Countries table lists a US Tier 1 web price of $5.99. Multiplying that price by 500 gives $2,995: 500 × $5.99. Twitch labels its listed prices as web prices and says they may change, so check the current price and purchase summary before buying.

The calculation is a US web-price illustration, not a price Twitch publishes for a bundle of 500 gifts. It excludes any tax that may apply. Twitch says the checkout subtotal reflects the base price of the selected gifts, and some locations may add tax.
Why the total can differ
- Country: Twitch uses local subscription pricing, and its prices vary by market. The US figure should not be applied to buyers elsewhere.
- Purchase method: The cited $5.99 figure is specifically a US Tier 1 web price. Confirm the amount in the purchase flow you use rather than assuming it applies to an in-app purchase.
- Gift tier: Gift subscriptions default to Tier 1. Twitch says Tier 2 and Tier 3 gifts are available on some devices, in single-month amounts.
- Tax: Where applicable, tax may be added at checkout.
Twitch’s country price table lists Tier 1 web prices. For the current rules on local pricing, see Twitch’s Local Subscription Pricing guidance. Twitch’s February 20, 2024 pricing announcement described changes taking effect March 28 of that year for Australia, Canada and the UK; it is dated context, not a substitute for the current price table.

No. The viewer’s spending is not the same as the creator’s payout. Twitch says a creator receives a proportional share of a locally priced subscription based on the creator’s revenue-share agreement. Without the countries associated with the gifts and the creator’s applicable agreement, the payout from 500 gifts cannot be calculated from the $2,995 US web-price illustration. See Twitch’s local-pricing guidance for its explanation of creator proceeds.
