Coventry City have not disclosed the transfer fee. BBC Sport reported that it was about £3.5 million, but that figure is a media estimate, not a sum confirmed by either club.
What is known about the transfer fee?
Coventry City announced on 1 July 2025 that defender Kaine Kesler-Hayden had joined Aston Villa on a four-year deal for an “undisclosed fee.” The club did not publish the exact amount, payment schedule or any add-ons. Coventry City’s announcement
BBC Sport reported on 1 July that the fee was believed to be about £3.5 million. Its report the previous day, when the deal was being completed, described the agreed fee as slightly more than £3.5 million. Those reports are consistent as estimates, but neither is an official confirmation of the contractual figure. BBC Sport, 1 July 2025; BBC Sport, 30 June 2025
