Kay Manuel said her earnings after a Schoolies-related stunt were “easily in the six figures,” according to a December 11, 2023 report by PerthNow. She did not give an exact total, and the figure was her estimate—not independently verified earnings.
What Kay Manuel said she earned
PerthNow reported that Manuel, then 21, said publicity following the Schoolies-related stunt had increased her earnings to “easily in the six figures.” She said she could not name an exact figure because the money came from alternative income streams. The report does not identify a precise total or define the period covered by her estimate.
Manuel also said her social engagement was up 250 per cent and her online sales were at an all-time high after appearing on The Project. Those are statements attributed to Manuel in PerthNow’s coverage, not independently measured results.
How the other reported figures compare
| Figure | What it refers to | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| $30,000 | Manuel reportedly said on The Project the previous month that she reached this amount in earnings within 24 hours. | PerthNow reported the claim, but did not explain whether it was included in her later six-figure estimate. Do not add the figures together. (PerthNow) |
| A$51,147.24 | indy100 reported that this amount appeared on a financial statement shown in a video, for December 1, 2023. | This is a secondary account of a figure displayed in a video, not audited proof of total earnings. It is distinct from Manuel’s later six-figure estimate. (indy100) |
| “Easily in the six figures” | Manuel’s estimate as quoted by PerthNow on December 11, 2023. | No exact amount or independently verified total was provided. (PerthNow) |
What the reports do—and do not—verify
The clearest answer is that Manuel reportedly claimed earnings in the six figures, but the cited coverage does not establish an exact, audited amount. The $30,000 claim has a separate 24-hour time frame, and the reports do not say whether it overlaps with the later estimate. The A$51,147.24 figure is a separate amount indy100 says was visible for one date; it should not be treated as confirmation of the six-figure estimate.

PerthNow also reported that the men who took part were not paid and quoted Manuel as saying they received the “experience” and footage afterward. That account is what the outlet reported; it is not independent testimony from the participants.
Does this establish what she earns now?
No. These are historical statements reported in 2023. They do not establish Manuel’s current income, and neither cited report provides financial records verifying her earnings.
