Tickets for that edition are no longer on sale. In 2025, the official routes were the Public Ballot, the on-the-day Queue, Grounds Passes and conditional on-site resale of returned tickets. For a future visit, check Wimbledon’s myWimbledon and its official ticket pages for current dates, prices and rules.
Which official ticket routes were available in 2025?
The routes differed in when you applied, what admission you received and how certain a purchase was. The Public Ballot was an advance application; the Queue and any returned-ticket resale were on-site options, subject to availability.
| Route | How it worked in 2025 | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Public Ballot | Applicants could receive an offer for a specific day and court. | You could not pick the day, court or seat, and an offer could not be swapped. |
| Queue | On-the-day access to limited tickets and Grounds Passes. | Inventory varied; a particular court or successful purchase was not guaranteed. |
| Grounds Pass | Admission to the grounds, including unreserved viewing on specified courts and outside courts, as described in the official Queue Guide. | It was not an assigned Show Court seat and did not guarantee access to a particular featured match or court. |
| On-site resale | Returned Show Court tickets could be resold at an on-site kiosk after 3pm. | Tickets were conditional on returned inventory being available. |
How did the Public Ballot work?
The Public Ballot was the advance route, but it did not let applicants choose a preferred date or court. Wimbledon says applications are selected automatically based on the best tickets available at the time. Its ballot page limited applications to one per household, email address and myWimbledon account. An unsuccessful applicant might be given access to a returns shop in the lead-up to the Championships; this was not a guaranteed ticket offer. Wimbledon Public Ballot
A successful applicant received an offer for a particular day and court. Wimbledon’s help page says that offer could not be swapped, so the practical choice was whether that specific allocation suited the applicant—not whether to trade it for another date or court. Wimbledon ticketing FAQs

Could you buy tickets on the day?
Yes. The official Queue was Wimbledon’s on-the-day route for limited inventory. The 2025 Queue Guide listed a limited quantity of Centre Court tickets for the first ten days, No.1 Court tickets each day, No.2 Court tickets for the first ten days, and Grounds Passes. Availability was not guaranteed. One official help result stated that Queue customers could buy one ticket per person. Wimbledon Queue Guide Wimbledon ticketing FAQs
The official guide warned: “Do not buy tickets from touts or other unauthorised agents; they will not gain you entry to the Grounds.” It also said prohibited transfers or offers for sale could void tickets. Wimbledon’s rules allow an exception for debenture tickets authorized for resale; that exception is not a basis for trusting an unauthorized listing. 2025 Queue Guide Public Ballot rules

How did on-site resale work?
If tickets had been returned, Show Court resale began after 3pm at the Ticket Resale kiosk in Parkside, according to the 2025 Queue Guide. The Accessibility Guide describes the kiosk as east of No.1 Court, while the Queue Guide places it north of Gate 3. Because the guides describe the location differently, on-site signs or the Wimbledon app are the safer way to navigate. The listed prices were £15 for Centre Court and £10 for No.1 and No.2 Court, subject to availability; net proceeds after VAT went to the Wimbledon Foundation. 2025 Queue Guide 2025 Accessibility Guide
How should you choose between a ballot, Queue and Grounds Pass?
- For advance planning: The Ballot was the advance option, but its date and court were assigned rather than chosen, and its offer could not be swapped.
- For a particular Show Court seat: Ballot offers or limited Queue tickets could provide a court-specific seat, but Queue availability was conditional.
- For a broader day around the grounds: A Grounds Pass offered admission with unreserved viewing opportunities, not a reserved seat or guaranteed entry to a featured match.
- For a lower listed price: Compare the 2025 price by day and seat band; a Grounds Pass or returned-ticket price was not equivalent to an assigned Show Court ticket.
- For a legitimate purchase: Use Wimbledon’s official channels and follow its transfer rules. Do not treat an online listing or use of Wimbledon branding as proof of validity.
The official materials do not establish Queue wait times or the odds of getting a ticket, so neither should be assumed when planning.

What should future visitors check?
Ticket prices, application windows, app requirements and availability can change between Championships. Wimbledon’s official shop currently points readers to myWimbledon for 2027 ballot updates and notes Queue and on-site resale options for 2026. A Wimbledon help page said that for 2026, people who had not entered or were unsuccessful could consider the official hospitality provider or the on-day Queue. Check Wimbledon’s current pages for the edition you plan to attend and verify any hospitality provider and package details there. Wimbledon official shop ticket information Wimbledon ticketing FAQs
Wimbledon also advises ticket holders not to post ticket images on social media or websites: visible details could be reused in fraudulent offers. For 2025, pre-purchased tickets had to be downloaded to the Wimbledon App. The Accessibility Guide described an accessibility waiting area for Queue guests with access requirements, while normal Queue rules still applied; accessible resale tickets were purchased at the Ticket Office at Gate 3.
