A 2024 wage estimate puts Patson Daka’s pay at £75,000 a week, or £3.9 million annualised. Leicester City confirmed in May 2026 that he would leave when his contract expired at the end of the 2025/26 season. That makes £3.9 million a useful estimate of the gross annual wage run rate ending—not a confirmed figure for the club’s net savings.
What is the reported wage figure?
Leicester City News reported on 9 September 2024, citing Capology, that Daka earned an estimated £75,000 per week, equivalent to £3,900,000 over 52 weeks. The report also listed his contract expiry as 30 June 2026. These are secondary estimates, not figures disclosed in Daka’s contract or confirmed by Leicester City.
The annual amount is a straightforward annualisation: £75,000 × 52 = £3.9 million. It should be read as a gross salary run-rate estimate based on the reported weekly figure, not proof that the entire amount was fixed pay or that the rate remained unchanged until his departure. When did Daka leave Leicester City?
The “exit looms” framing is now out of date. On 24 May 2026, Leicester City announced that Daka would leave at the end of the season following the expiry of his contract. The club’s 2025/26 EFL squad-list announcement had included him among its contract players for that season.

Why £3.9 million is not Leicester’s confirmed saving
The £3.9 million figure describes an estimated annual gross wage rate. The club’s actual net saving cannot be calculated from the available information: Leicester has not published Daka’s full contract terms or bonus payments, and the sources do not establish what replacement-player wages or other costs might apply. A wage estimate ending is therefore not the same as a verified reduction of the same amount in the club’s overall costs.
