Use the coupons when you shop
In a Safeway store
Add coupons before buying the eligible items and before the offer expires. At checkout, enter the phone number associated with your Safeway for U account or scan its member card in the app. Safeway says loaded digital coupons redeem automatically after you identify the account. Check your receipt to confirm the discounts applied.
For an online grocery order
Link your online grocery-ordering account to the Safeway for U account that holds the coupons. Load offers to the account used for the order, and review the final receipt to verify the savings. Safeway’s coupon policy says online orders accept digital or internet coupons loaded to the for U account used for that order. Read Safeway’s coupon policy.

Check offer terms and resolve missing discounts
- Each offer has its own expiration date, eligibility rules, limits, and exclusions. Read the offer details before relying on a discount.
- Do not assume every coupon combines with every other discount. Safeway says loaded digital coupons are not included in operative double-coupon promotions; the coupon policy and individual offer terms govern what qualifies.
- If an eligible online discount is missing from the final receipt, contact Safeway’s Grocery Delivery Customer Service Center. For other Safeway for U account issues, use Safeway’s contact page, chat, contact form, or customer-support number.
