The expansion announced in February 2025 has since moved beyond plans: Bar Olé Iluka and Yanchep Beach Club are both listed in the Esqulants’ hospitality group portfolio, and PerthNow reported that Yanchep Beach Club opened on 12 December 2025. The venues have different concepts—Spanish-inspired dining at Iluka and a beachside all-day venue at Yanchep. For current menus, hours and bookings, check each venue’s own information before visiting.
What happened to the planned venues?
PerthNow reported on 6 February 2025 that Ryan and Nikki Esqulant, owners of Hillarys Beach Club, planned to open Bar Olé at Iluka Plaza that month and develop a second beach club at Holiday Way in Yanchep later in the year. The Iluka venue was presented as the nearer-term opening; the Yanchep project was still in an early development stage.
That announcement is now historical. ELG Australia’s current venue portfolio lists both Bar Olé Iluka and Yanchep Beach Club alongside Hillarys Beach Club. PerthNow later reported Yanchep Beach Club’s opening date as 12 December 2025.
What was planned for Bar Olé Iluka?
The February 2025 announcement described Bar Olé as a Spanish-inspired restaurant in an upstairs space at Iluka Plaza, with an open kitchen and woodfired grill. Planned offerings included Spanish-curated wines, sangria, cocktails, beer and tapas, with freshly shaved Iberico ham, grilled chorizo and patatas bravas among the dishes named.
