How Much Is an Xbox 360 Worth? U.S. Resale Examples

Many working Xbox 360 systems with a controller and basic cables had U.S. completed-sale examples around $50–$100. Your model, storage, tested condition, and bundle determine the closer comparison.

In the U.S. secondhand examples reviewed, many working Xbox 360 systems with a controller and basic cables sold in the broad range of about $50–$100. Some 250GB Slim and E systems had completed-sale examples around $65–$130. These are individual transactions, not a market average or a guaranteed appraisal: value depends on the console family, storage, condition, and what is included.

Recent U.S. completed-sale examples

The figures below are dated sales published on PriceCharting model pages. They are useful comparisons, but the listings differ in condition and bundle contents, so they do not establish a single price for every console of that model.

Console and storage Completed-sale examples Source
Original Xbox 360, 20GB or 60GB Pro $52.42 for a 20GB Pro console (June 8, 2026); $63.00 for a 60GB bundle (June 11, 2026); $60.00 for a 60GB Pro bundle (June 16, 2026). PriceCharting: Xbox 360 Console 60GB Prices
Xbox 360 Slim, 250GB $70.70 for a tested console with wireless controller (September 2, 2026); $130.00 for a Slim 250GB console (September 2, 2026); $95.00 for a serviced, tested console (September 1, 2026); $100.00 for a console with controller, box, and HDMI (August 18, 2026). PriceCharting: Xbox 360 Slim Console 250GB Prices
Xbox 360 E, 250GB $104.99 (May 3, 2026); $119.99 (April 26, 2026); $101.25 (April 13, 2026); $78.09 (March 3, 2026). Sale descriptions varied in controllers, games, and stated testing. PriceCharting: Xbox 360 E Console 250GB Prices
Lower-capacity Slim, 4GB $60.00 for a console with controller and cables and $78.00 for a bundle listing 26 games; both examples are from 2025. PriceCharting Slim 4GB price page
Xbox 360 E, 4GB $73.43 for a tested accessories bundle (February 5, 2026) and $99.99 for a tested bundle (February 19, 2026). PriceCharting E 4GB price page

The sales show that 250GB Slim and E systems can appear at higher prices than some lower-capacity examples, but bundle and condition differences make it unsafe to treat storage or model as a guaranteed premium. The small, varied set also cannot isolate the value added by games or accessories.

How to estimate your console’s resale value

  1. Identify the model and storage. Determine whether it is the original Xbox 360, Slim, or E, and record the capacity, such as 4GB, 20GB, 60GB, or 250GB. Compare it with the matching model page rather than a different family.
  2. Test it and describe the result. Check that it powers on and operates. Note any disc-reading, controller, port, or overheating problem; an untested or faulty unit is not a close match for a tested working sale.
  3. Inventory the bundle. List the power supply, video cable, controller or controllers, hard drive, Kinect, games, and original box that are actually included. The sale examples vary in these details, so compare like with like where possible.
  4. Use completed sales, not asking prices. Check several recent sales for the same model, storage, and similar condition. An active eBay listing is only a seller’s asking price. For example, a Model 1439 listing without a hard drive showed $49.99 with a Best Offer accepted, but the accepted amount was not disclosed, so it cannot establish the sale price. eBay Model 1439 listing
  5. Choose an asking price for your selling approach. Decide whether to leave room for negotiation or price closer to the amount you hope to receive. Account for shipping and marketplace costs separately; the examples here do not calculate fees or any local-market adjustment.

What these prices do—and do not—tell you

The reviewed examples are U.S.-oriented eBay transactions surfaced on PriceCharting pages, reviewed October 8, 2026. They are not a representative market survey, and they should not be treated as a worldwide valuation. Local demand, marketplace, shipping, and the exact condition can change what a particular buyer will pay.

To narrow the estimate, the most useful details are your console family, storage capacity, whether it has been tested, and the exact included accessories. A common working system with a controller and basic cables appears in these examples in the tens of dollars, often around $50–$100, but individual comparable sales are more useful than a universal number.
