Allegiant Allways Rewards is a free loyalty program: members earn points on qualifying Allegiant bookings and can use them toward eligible Allegiant purchases. Allegiant states that points convert at $0.01 each, but the points required for a trip can vary, so check the points and cash totals for your itinerary before booking.
How do you join Allways Rewards and earn points?
Enrollment is free. To earn points on eligible Allegiant travel, book through Allegiant while logged in to your Allways account. Points go to the primary member’s account and generally cannot be pooled or transferred between members. Allegiant also awards points for qualifying Allways Rewards Visa purchases and certain promotions.

Allegiant’s FAQ, accessed October 8, 2026, lists these base earning rates:

“Qualified spend” is not necessarily the full amount charged. Under the program terms effective September 4, 2025, it means the amount paid out of pocket; taxes and fees are excluded, as are amounts paid with dollar-off vouchers or promotional codes. Credit vouchers earn points when used, but expired vouchers do not. An itinerary must include at least one flight segment to earn travel points, so a hotel-only or rental-car-only booking does not qualify. Allegiant can change program benefits and point values. Check the current terms and your booking details rather than assuming a past rate will remain in effect.
What are Allways points worth?
Allegiant’s FAQ states that one point is worth $0.01—equivalent to 100 points per dollar. That is the program’s stated conversion, not a guarantee that every booking will deliver the same practical value: Allegiant says the number of points required can vary with destination, travel date, demand, redemption rate and other factors.

Before redeeming, compare the point amount with the cash price for the same itinerary, and include any taxes and fees in the cash total. Allegiant’s FAQ, accessed October 8, 2026, is available at Allways Rewards FAQs.
How do you redeem Allways points?
Log in to your Allways account and apply points on Allegiant’s payment page. Allegiant says redemptions have no minimum and can start at one point. Eligible uses include Allegiant flights and flight-inclusive travel packages that add hotels, rental cars or destination attractions. Points can cover taxes and applicable fees on eligible purchases.

A booking must include at least one airfare segment; points cannot be used for a hotel-only or rental-car-only booking. The FAQ says there are no blackout dates or locations, but that does not make every travel product redeemable: points apply only to eligible Allegiant purchases on Allegiant.com under the current rules. Allegiant’s FAQ also says Allways points cannot be redeemed for Sun Country flights. Because airline arrangements and loyalty rules can change, confirm eligibility on Allegiant’s site before booking.
When do points post?
Points earned from Allegiant travel are credited 72 hours after the itinerary is completed, according to the terms effective September 4, 2025. Allegiant defines completion by the itinerary’s last relevant date—for example, the final flight segment, rental-car return or hotel checkout, whichever comes last.

Points earned with the Allways Rewards Visa follow a separate cycle: Allegiant says they post after the monthly statement closes, and its terms allow one or two billing cycles.

Under Allegiant’s terms effective September 4, 2025, points expire after 24 months of inactivity. The terms tie activity to making a transaction through Allegiant while logged in, or completing travel booked through Customer Care after account details are verified. An open Allegiant credit card also counts as activity. A login by itself or an ordinary card purchase is not described as sufficient activity in the terms.

If the card account closes, the terms say points expire 24 months after the closing date unless the member completes an Allegiant transaction and travel during that period. Closing the Allways account forfeits accrued points.
Is the Allways Rewards Visa required?
No. Free Allways membership and the optional co-branded Visa are separate; you do not need the card to join or redeem basic Allways points. Allegiant’s card summary, accessed October 8, 2026, says cardholders earn 3 points per $1 on eligible Allegiant travel net purchases. The FAQ also describes earning on other purchases and benefits including priority check-in and boarding and one free drink on Allegiant-operated flights. It says those flight benefits are not currently available on Sun Country flights.
Whether the card makes sense depends on its current fee and terms, how much eligible Allegiant and everyday spending you expect to put on it, and whether you would use its benefits. Compare those details with your own travel pattern before applying; card ownership is not a requirement for the loyalty program.
