Helena introduced two sustainability-focused agricultural brands in March 2023: Enertia, an enzyme-based soybean seed treatment, and Resgenix, a liquid product intended to improve water-use efficiency. They address different farm needs and are not directly comparable by performance.
How Enertia and Resgenix differ
| Product | Role described in the announcement | Application described |
|---|---|---|
| Enertia | Enzyme-based soybean seed treatment | Applied as a seed treatment; the announcement describes compatibility with other seed-treatment options. |
| Resgenix | Liquid water-efficiency product | Applied through irrigation water or conventional spraying; the announcement says it is compatible with most crop-management products. |
The comparison is about intended use, not which product performs better. Successful Farming’s launch report supplies no common trial or measure for ranking them.
What Helena says Enertia is designed to do
As described in Helena’s announcement, Enertia uses protected enzyme technology with VersaShield Formulation technology. The stated purpose is to stabilize enzymes so they remain active in soil longer and can be used alongside other seed-treatment options. These are formulation and purpose claims reported in the announcement, not independently validated findings.
Reported Midwest trial figures
Successful Farming reported that Helena cited Midwest trials in which Enertia showed a 14% increase in root weight by mass, a 3% increase in plant populations, and a 2.4-bushel-per-acre yield advantage compared with standard fungicide and insecticide seed treatments.

What Resgenix is intended to address
Helena described Resgenix as a product intended to improve soil aggregation and water-holding capacity, while helping mitigate erosion, runoff, and the loss of soil moisture through evaporation. Those are stated aims and product claims in the launch report, not independently confirmed outcomes.

Successful Farming published its report on March 21, 2023, covering Helena’s product introduction. It establishes the launch announcement, but it does not state current label directions, crop or geographic restrictions, present availability, dealers, or pricing. Farmers considering either product should check a current product label and consult Helena or an authorized local dealer for applicable directions and availability.
