Age and category conditions
The age range was 18–45 years, reckoned as of January 1, 2024. The advertisement provided a five-year upper-age relaxation for specified Himachal Pradesh categories, subject to conditions and the availability of a post reserved for the category. Reservation and fee concessions were governed by Himachal Pradesh residency and category rules; candidates from other states in reserved categories were treated as general-category candidates for those purposes. Consult the notice for individual eligibility.

Application deadline and submission rules
The Junior Auditor advertisement set March 8, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. as the deadline for the application and fee. HPPSC required online applications through its recruitment portal. Its instructions said applicants without an account had to register through One Time Registration, complete their profile, select the live advertisement, upload the required documents, and submit the form. An application counted as successful only after fee payment was acknowledged and credited to the Commission.
The notice warned that submitted applications generally could not be changed, apart from the specified category-change procedure. It stated: “Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and will be rejected straightway.”

Fees and documents in the Junior Auditor notice
The listed examination fee depended on the applicant’s category: Rs. 400 for general and other-state applicants, and Rs. 100 for specified reserved and BPL categories. These were not universal fees; applicants had to use the amount applicable to their circumstances under the notice.
Required uploads varied with the applicant’s situation. The advertisement included matriculation proof of age, +2 and degree certificates and mark sheets, experience certificates where required, category documents where applicable, and a Bonafide Himachali certificate. It also specified documentation for certain EWS/BPL and ex-serviceman cases. Applicants needed to check the full advertisement for the documents matching their circumstances and ensure certificates were legible.
