Published estimates put Gustavo Hamer’s Sheffield United wage at about £30,000–£36,000 per week. That is a range reported by salary websites and secondary coverage, not a figure Sheffield United has confirmed. The club’s annual report confirms Hamer joined in summer 2023 but does not disclose his individual pay.
What was Gustavo Hamer’s estimated Sheffield United wage?
The published estimates cluster between £30,000 and £36,000 a week. The lower figure appears in SalaryLeaks’ Sheffield United contract-history entry and a 2025 United Sheffield article; SalarySport lists £36,000 a week for the 2024/25 season. None is an official disclosure from the club.
| Source | Period or context | Reported amount | How to read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| SalarySport | Sheffield United 2024/25 squad table | £36,000 weekly; £1,872,000 annually | Salary-site estimate. |
| SalaryLeaks | Sheffield United contract-history entry, from 2023 | £30,000 weekly; £1.6 million annually | Publisher-reported figure, not club-confirmed. |
| United Sheffield | 2025 article | £30,000 weekly; £1.56 million annually | Secondary reporting; it does not establish an official salary disclosure. |
| Spotrac | Sheffield United contract page | $1,560,000 average annual salary | Displayed in US dollars; Spotrac says EPL contract specifics are generally collected from verified reports. It is not directly comparable to the pound estimates without accounting for currency and methodology. |
Why the figures differ
The sources do not provide a consistent, independently verifiable method for calculating Hamer’s pay, so the evidence does not establish which estimate is correct. The annual totals also differ because the reported weekly figures differ: SalaryLeaks gives £1.6 million, while SalarySport gives £1.872 million for 2024/25.
Salary figures may also describe different components of compensation. Capology says its base-salary estimates exclude bonuses and incentives, and warns that its figures are estimates rather than official numbers. Its Sheffield United team page puts the club’s estimated 2024/25 gross salaries at £29,978,000, or £576,500 per week; it records model updates on 12 September 2024 and 12 February 2025. Those team totals provide context, but they do not verify Hamer’s individual wage.

What is officially established about his Sheffield United spell?
Sheffield United’s annual report for the year ended 30 June 2024 says the club signed Hamer from Coventry City during summer 2023. It does not state his personal salary. The available club document therefore confirms the move, not the £30,000 or £36,000 weekly estimate.

The title refers to his reported Sheffield United wage, not necessarily his current club. SalaryLeaks and Capology associate Hamer with Coventry City for 2026/27, while SalarySport’s player page contains conflicting club labels. The salary pages alone do not establish current-club status; an official transfer announcement would be needed to settle it.
