HPSC reopened the application portal from 1 March through 5:00 PM on 15 March 2025 for specific category updates and applications in its Assistant Professor (College Cadre) recruitment. That deadline has passed; the notice is not evidence of a current application window.
Which recruitment did the reopening cover?
The reopening applied to Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) Advertisement Nos. 42 to 67 of 2024 for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts in the state Higher Education Department. The recruitment advertised 2,424 posts across various subjects. The dates and post count were also reported contemporaneously by Hindustan Times.
HPSC’s notice linked the action to Haryana Government notification No. 22/163/2024-5 HR-II, dated 13 November 2024, and a requested revision to the earlier requisition. The notice said a revised subject-wise post bifurcation would be displayed once received from the Government; it did not itself provide a final subject-by-subject vacancy split.
Who was eligible to use the reopened portal?
This was not a general extension for every applicant. The notice addressed particular category-related cases:

- Applicants who had already applied as Scheduled Caste (SC): They were directed to update their category to DSC or OSC, as applicable.
- Applicants in DSC or OSC who had not applied earlier: They could apply during the reopening, select the applicable category, and upload the latest certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Applicants with a defective earlier submission: Those who had not uploaded a duly signed application form or had entered an incorrect category, qualification, or other particulars were directed to cancel the earlier application and submit a fresh one.
What certificate or application changes did the notice require?
For applicants changing from SC to DSC or OSC
Applicants selecting DSC were told to upload their latest DSC certificate. For applicants selecting OSC, the SC certificate they had previously uploaded would be considered, according to the notice.
For applicants submitting a fresh application
Applicants directed to replace a defective earlier submission had to submit a fresh form with the requisite fee. The fee paid for the earlier application would not be adjusted against the new application. The notice does not establish a general fee rule beyond these specified cases.

No. The stated portal window ended at 5:00 PM on 15 March 2025. The notice and contemporaneous reporting establish that historical deadline, not any later application or recruitment stage. For subsequent notices, check the HPSC official website; do not rely on this reopening notice as confirmation that applications are currently being accepted.
