The later January 31 report put 24-karat gold at Rs511,862 per tola and 24-karat silver at Rs9,006 per tola in Pakistan. It also reported substantial daily declines. However, another story carrying a January 31 headline showed the previous day’s higher rates, so the date label needs a qualification.
Reported gold and silver rates on January 31
The following figures are from the later January 31, 2026 report, which attributed the rates to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA). They are reported benchmarks, not guaranteed shop offers.

Pakistan Revenue attributed these local rates to APSGJA in its January 31 report: Pakistan Revenue. The report also listed international reference prices of $4,895 per ounce for gold, down $255, and $85.31 per ounce for silver, down $20.63. Those figures are that report’s references and are not independently reconciled global closing prices.
Why some January 31 stories show higher prices
Daily Pakistan published 24K gold at Rs537,362 per tola and 24K silver at Rs11,069 per tola under a January 31 headline. Mettis Global identifies that same set as Friday, January 30, 2026, also reporting gold at Rs460,701 per 10 grams and silver at Rs9,489 per 10 grams: Mettis Global.

The later January 31 reports give the lower rates in the table above. The discrepancy is consistent with some January 31 headlines carrying the January 30 set while a subsequent report recorded Saturday’s figures, but the precise publication sequence and update time are not established by a timestamped APSGJA bulletin. The conflicting headlines should therefore not be treated as proof of an exact intraday change time.

Before buying or selling, compare the seller’s current quote with the relevant purity and unit, and ask whether additional charges apply. The reported figures do not establish a verified retail quote or a city-by-city price breakdown.

Pakistan Revenue says local rates are calculated using prevailing interbank foreign-exchange rates issued by the State Bank of Pakistan alongside international bullion-market trends. That is the outlet’s description of the association’s methodology, not a methodology independently confirmed here against an SBP or APSGJA document.
