Pakistan gold and silver rates on April 2
The following PKR figures were reported for April 2 and attributed to APGJSA/APSGJA. The reports do not establish the exact intraday time the rates took effect.

These are local-currency quotations using different weight units. Check both the date and unit before comparing a per-tola rate with a per-10-gram rate.
How prices changed from the previous day
Reports attributed to the association said gold fell Rs7,100 per tola and silver fell Rs350 per tola from April 1. The same reports quoted international gold at approximately US$4,642 per ounce and silver at US$71.50 per ounce. The international figures are USD-per-ounce quotations, not Pakistan retail prices.

Why reports showed different gold rates
ARY News published a conflicting April 2 report listing 24-karat gold at Rs501,500 per tola and Rs429,960 per 10 grams. Several other reports attributed Rs486,962 per tola and Rs417,491 per 10 grams to APGJSA/APSGJA; Mettis Global’s April 3 report also listed Rs486,962 as the April 2 comparison rate. The better-corroborated figures are used above, but the disagreement is not resolved by a directly examined association rate sheet.

An association-attributed market quotation is not necessarily the amount a customer pays a jeweler or dealer. The cited reports do not specify retail premiums, workmanship charges, taxes, seller terms, or the price for a particular item. Ask a seller for a dated quote that identifies the metal’s purity and weight, and compare like with like; the published rates alone do not establish a shop’s offer.
