Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) named Gigachains and www.gigachains.com among fraudulent online trading platforms in a notice dated 14 September 2022. That regulator warning is the clearest established fact about the platform; it does not establish every allegation repeated by third-party reviews or confirm the site’s current status.
What is GigaChains?
In the FSMA’s notice, “Gigachains” refers to an online trading platform associated with www.gigachains.com. The notice identifies it among fraudulent online trading platforms. It does not provide enough information to establish the platform’s full product range, legal ownership, or how it handled customer funds.
A similarly named website, gigachain.com, presents a blockchain project called Gigachain focused on trustless parallel execution and says it was originally incubated by the Telos Foundation. Its spelling and domain differ from the FSMA-listed Gigachains. Available information does not establish a corporate relationship between the two, so their claims and identities should not be conflated.
Is GigaChains legit or a scam?
The FSMA’s 14 September 2022 notice is a serious regulator warning: it placed Gigachains (www.gigachains.com) on a list of fraudulent online trading platforms. Readers should treat that warning as a reason not to send money or personal information to the platform without independently resolving the concerns with the relevant regulator.

The warning supports reporting the FSMA’s assessment; it does not, by itself, substantiate specific claims about customer losses, withdrawal practices, or the platform’s operating methods. Nor does the available information establish whether the site is operating now. A review page’s broader description of GigaChains as a blockchain-focused services company is not independent confirmation of the FSMA-listed platform’s identity or offerings.
Is GigaChains regulated?
The available information does not establish GigaChains’ licensing status in every jurisdiction, or identify a legal entity whose authorization can be confirmed. Do not treat a trading name, website statement, logo, or claimed license as proof of authorization. Check the exact legal entity and domain against the relevant regulator’s records, and confirm any claimed authorization directly through that regulator’s own channels.
The FSMA says checking email addresses and contact details can help detect this type of fraud. Compare those details with regulator records and independently verified firm contact information before sharing data or transferring funds. The FSMA also notes in its broader warning-list material that its lists are not exhaustive: not finding a firm on a warning list is not proof that it is authorized.

The FSMA notice is a warning, not a complete company profile. The available evidence does not establish:
Rank #3
- GigaChains’ beneficial owners or legal entity;
- its claimed license status across jurisdictions;
- the products or trading instruments it offered;
- deposit minimums, fees, or custody arrangements;
- how it handled withdrawals or whether customers suffered losses; or
- its present operating status.
A third-party review attributes a warning to Germany’s BaFin in August 2022, but that claim has not been verified against a primary BaFin notice here. It should not be treated as established regulator evidence.

How to assess a trading platform before sending money
- Confirm the identity. Record the precise legal name, website domain, and contact details the firm gives you.
- Check authorization independently. Search the relevant regulator’s official records for the exact entity and verify that any authorization covers the services being offered. Do not rely on links or documents supplied only by the platform.
- Cross-check contact details. Compare phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact information with details independently published by the regulator or verified firm.
- Read the terms before acting. Look for clear, independently inspectable explanations of products, fees, custody, and withdrawals. If essential terms or the legal counterparty cannot be verified, do not proceed.
- Pause if details conflict. A similar company name or a plausible-looking domain is not enough to prove that you have found the regulated business. Resolve mismatches with the regulator before sharing information or funds.
