Misfits Market announced on May 30, 2025, that it had acquired The Rounds, combining an online grocery platform known for food-rescue positioning with a recurring delivery service for household essentials in reusable packaging. The financial terms were not disclosed. For customers, Misfits said the transition would bring selected Rounds items to its marketplace and offered eligible former Rounds members a temporary membership and credit; neither the offer nor the listed products should be assumed to be available today.
What Misfits Market acquired
The Rounds operated a recurring restocking service for everyday household essentials, using reusable packaging. Misfits Market, by contrast, centered its service on online grocery shopping and described its sourcing as helping save food from waste or less desirable outcomes. The businesses overlapped in home delivery and sustainability goals, but served different parts of a household shopping list.
Misfits described The Rounds as having created “a smart, low-waste delivery model for everyday essentials using reusable packaging.” That is the company’s May 2025 characterization of the acquired business, rather than an independent assessment of its environmental performance. Why the deal fit Misfits Market
The acquisition gave Misfits a way to broaden beyond groceries into household supplies and to add a model built around reusable packaging and recurring delivery. Misfits’ 2025 impact report, published in 2026, later described the acquisition as expanding its sustainable assortment, including household stock-keeping units, and its reach, particularly through corporate and multifamily partnerships. Those are Misfits’ own statements about the deal’s strategic effects, not independently verified measures of its success. Misfits Market’s 2025 Impact Report
