Grill’d’s Wanneroo restaurant opened on Saturday, 13 December 2025, becoming the chain’s first drive-thru in Western Australia. It is at Shop 9, 15 & 21 Herdsman Lane, Wanneroo WA 6065. The launch-day and opening-weekend offers reported at the time have ended.
When did Grill’d Wanneroo open?
Grill’d announced that the restaurant would open on Saturday, 13 December 2025. PerthNow reported that opening was scheduled for 10am. The venue was described at the time as Grill’d’s first drive-thru in Western Australia and its 29th restaurant in the state. It was the chain’s fourth drive-thru nationally, after locations in Brisbane, Geelong and Melbourne, according to PerthNow’s 1 December 2025 report. Grill’d’s opening announcement also gives the date.

What did Grill’d announce about local benefits?
At the time of the opening announcement, Grill’d WA regional general manager Aimee Edwards said the venue would create 50 local jobs. PerthNow also reported that Wanneroo Bush Fire Brigade and Twelve Tone Music Academy were named as first-month beneficiaries of Grill’d’s Local Matters program. Those are announcement-era claims and selections, not confirmation of the restaurant’s current headcount or current beneficiaries.
Grill’d founder and managing director Simon Crowe told PerthNow: “We’re committed to giving Australians easier access to fresh, healthy burgers made with premium local ingredients, and now WA locals can enjoy that experience with the added convenience of a drive thru.” This is the company’s stated rationale for the venue; the quote is not independent evidence about nutrition or ingredient sourcing.
