Is GTA 6 delayed again?
No. Take-Two’s latest published schedule gives Grand Theft Auto VI a November 19, 2026 release date for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the current announced plan, not a guarantee that the date cannot change. Take-Two repeated the date in its June pre-order announcement. Take-Two’s May 21, 2026 schedule and June 24 pre-order announcement are the relevant updates.
An earlier date is now superseded: Rockstar’s May 2025 Trailer 2 announcement described a May 26, 2026 console launch plan. It should not be treated as the current date. Rockstar’s Trailer 2 announcement
When does GTA 6 come out, and on which platforms?
The announced console launch is November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two says digital preloading is scheduled to begin November 12, one week before launch. A physical retail version is also announced, but Take-Two says its box contains a download code; it is not described as a disc edition.

Will GTA 6 be on PC?
There is no announced PC date in Take-Two’s current release schedule or June pre-order announcement. That means a PC version has not been confirmed by those announcements; it does not establish that a PC release will never happen.
In September 2026, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the company’s general approach to launching games on platforms with a meaningful audience, adding that PC was becoming more important to the company. Why does Rockstar announce console plans first?
Zelnick has described Rockstar’s console-first approach as a way to serve a title’s core audience first. GamesRadar reported his explanation in May 2026: “Rockstar always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you’re judged by serving the core.” That is a general explanation of the company’s approach, not a specific announcement about when GTA VI might reach PC. In the same report, Zelnick estimated that PC can account for 45–50% of sales for a big title. That figure is his general estimate as reported by GamesRadar, not a GTA VI sales forecast or an official sales statistic for this game.
