Try these steps for a browser login problem

- Use the original account email. GameStop says a different or newer email address is a common reason a customer cannot log in.
- Clear browser cache and cookies. Restart the browser or device, then enter the credentials again.
- Allow time for a temporary lock to clear, or reset the password. GameStop says a temporary lock clears automatically and advises waiting 15 minutes or resetting the password.
- Try a different browser and check blockers. GameStop suggests another browser and temporarily disabling an ad blocker or VPN.
- Retry the password-reset email carefully. Open the reset email on the same device used to request it. If it does not arrive, delete older reset messages and request a new one.
- Contact GameStop if the issue continues. Support is also the next step if repeated reset emails never arrive or you cannot recover access to the original account email.
If the GameStop app is the problem
For app access trouble, GameStop’s app troubleshooting article, last updated April 24, 2026, recommends updating the app and reinstalling it if updating does not help. Contact GameStop if the problem persists. Include whether you use iOS or Android, the app version, a detailed description, and screenshots if possible.
