BJ’s public offers reviewed do not show a free year of primary membership for the general public. The standard sign-up page lists paid plans, and the targeted promotions reviewed are discounted—not free—memberships. Some people may qualify for membership through an employee benefit or as a free household supplemental member, but neither is an open public free-year offer.
What BJ’s membership costs
BJ’s current sign-up page lists Club for $60 per year and Club+ for $120 per year. These are the standard rates shown on the page; confirm the total at checkout because offers and terms can change. BJ’s says memberships generally run for 12 months. See BJ’s membership options.
The same sign-up page invites shoppers to try a one-day pass. That is a limited trial option, not a year-long membership.
Ways some people may pay less—or qualify for access
| Route | What it offers | Who may qualify and what to check |
|---|---|---|
| Government-worker offer | Club for $25 with a $10 reward, or Club+ for $50 with a $20 reward. | For eligible new members. It is a discounted paid membership, not a free year. Confirm current eligibility and terms on BJ’s government-worker offer page. |
| SNAP EBT offer | Club for $25 with a $10 reward, or Club+ for $50 with a $20 reward. | For eligible new members. It is not free; review current eligibility and terms on BJ’s SNAP EBT offer page. |
| Employee benefit | BJ’s Careers lists a complimentary BJ’s membership as an employee benefit. | Check whether the role and current benefits make you eligible. This is an employment benefit, not a public promotion. BJ’s Careers. |
| Household supplemental member | A primary member may add one eligible household member at no additional cost. | The additional member uses access under the primary member’s account; they do not receive a separate free primary membership year. Eligibility and verification requirements apply. BJ’s membership Help Center. |
| Referral offer | The referrer receives a $10 reward, while the friend gets a discounted one-year membership. | The friend still pays, and campaign terms can vary. Check the current rules at BJ’s referral page. |
| Local new-club promotion | The Dallas offer advertises reduced first-year prices through November 28, 2026. | It is location-specific, paid, and subject to new-member and Easy Renewal conditions. It does not establish a nationwide free-year offer. See the Dallas offer terms. |
How to check whether an offer is actually free
Before enrolling, compare the amount due now with the value of any reward. A reward does not make the membership free if you must first pay an enrollment fee, and its redemption conditions affect how much it is worth to you.

- Check whether the price and eligibility are national or limited to a location or enrollment channel.
- Read the reward rules and expiration date rather than treating the reward as cash at checkout.
- Review Easy Renewal before submitting payment. BJ’s sign-up page shows Easy Renewal enrollment; it authorizes a recurring annual charge at the then-current fee.
How renewal can turn a deal into a recurring charge
With Easy Renewal, the membership renews through an annual charge at the fee in effect at renewal. The Dallas offer terms say cancellation must occur before the renewal start date to avoid that charge. Check the terms for the specific offer you use, and note the renewal date when enrolling. BJ’s membership terms and renewal information are available at BJ’s terms page.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is not confirmed about free-year offers
The public BJ’s pages reviewed do not establish whether individual existing or former members receive unlisted retention offers. If you have seen a claim about a free year, check your BJ’s account or contact BJ’s directly; a public offer page cannot confirm a personalized offer.

The filing also says a standard membership includes one free supplemental membership. That supports the distinction between a household add-on and a free primary membership. BJ’s 2026 company filing.
