The fastest legitimate way to earn Microsoft Rewards points is to complete every available activity on your Rewards dashboard, use Bing naturally while signed in to the correct account, and add eligible mobile, Windows, Edge, Xbox, or MSN activities where they are available. There is no universal daily points maximum. Microsoft changes activities, limits, earning rates, and redemption offers by country, region, account level, and account activity.
Trying to accelerate the process with rapid searches, random letters, bots, macros, scripts, VPNs, or multiple regions can do the opposite: Microsoft may stop crediting searches, limit your earning, suspend the account, or invalidate points.

What “fast” really means with Microsoft Rewards
Microsoft Rewards is best treated as a small rebate and gift-card program—not dependable income. Your results depend on the earning opportunities Microsoft shows on your account and the market in which your account is registered.
The most efficient approach is to capture the points you can earn during activities you already perform:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches#1 Best Overall
- THE PERFECT GAMING GIFT — Buy an XBOX Gift Card for yourself or a friend and let them choose the games, add‑ons, subscriptions, and accessories they want most.
- USE FOR GAMES & CONTENT — Redeem for thousands of digital XBOX games, from backward compatible classics to the latest new releases, plus DLC and in‑game currency.
- GAME PASS READY — Apply your balance toward XBOX Game Pass Ultimate to play new titles on day one* and access a library of hundreds of high‑quality console games.
- PRE‑ORDER & PRE‑INSTALL GAMES — Use your balance to pre‑order and pre‑download upcoming titles so you’re ready to play the moment they launch.
- NO FEES OR EXPIRATION — XBOX Gift Cards never expire and have no service fees, so your balance is ready whenever you are.
- Open the Microsoft Rewards dashboard.
- Complete the available activities on the earn page and points breakdown page.
- Use Bing for genuine searches while signed in to the Microsoft account that should receive the points.
- Check the supported mobile, Windows, Edge, Xbox, and MSN routes available in your region.
- Redeem points before they become unavailable, expire, or a preferred gift card temporarily disappears.
Microsoft’s official earning guide lists the available methods, but it does not promise one fixed number of points per day for every user.
The fastest daily routine
1. Start with the Rewards dashboard
Go to rewards.bing.com and sign in with the personal Microsoft account where you want the points deposited. Microsoft also identifies Bing.com as an entry point to Rewards opportunities.
On the dashboard, review both the earn page and the points breakdown page. These areas can show quizzes, trivia, the Daily Set, promotional tasks, and other account-specific activities. Microsoft says quizzes and trivia can be updated daily. When the Daily Set is complete, a green checkmark should appear.
Do this before searching. It takes less time than checking sporadically throughout the day and makes it easier to see which activities have actually credited.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware match2. Complete the Daily Set and other activities you genuinely qualify for
There is no responsible reason to skip a clearly available quiz, poll, trivia activity, or other dashboard task if your goal is to maximize points. However, do not rapidly click through articles or activities solely to manufacture activity. Microsoft specifically warns that rapidly clicking articles or opening articles through bookmarks to accumulate points can trigger an earning limitation.
Do not assume that every tile appears for every account. Microsoft says available activities and earning rates vary by country or region.
3. Use Bing normally instead of running a search sprint
Microsoft Rewards can award points for Bing searches, including searches made through the Windows 10 or Windows 11 taskbar search box. Microsoft’s current Rewards FAQ documents search eligibility of up to:
| Account level | Documented Bing search limit | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Up to 10 searches per day | It is not a universal maximum for all Rewards points. |
| Level 2 | Up to 30 searches per day | It does not guarantee that every search will credit. |
These are documented search limits, not a promise of a particular daily dollar value or total point balance. The exact points per search and the way the counter behaves can vary. Additional searches may stop earning once the relevant PC or mobile counter reaches its daily maximum.
For the best chance of credit:
- Search for real information you need—such as a recipe, product specification, travel detail, definition, or news topic.
- Space searches naturally instead of submitting dozens back-to-back.
- Remain signed in to the intended Microsoft account.
- Set Bing as the default search engine in the browser you use for earning, as Microsoft recommends.
- Check the dashboard or points breakdown rather than assuming that every query counted.
Microsoft’s Rewards FAQ and getting-started guidance explain the account, search, and sign-in requirements.
4. Add mobile earning routes where available
Microsoft documents several mobile routes:
- The Bing mobile app.
- The Microsoft Edge app.
- Microsoft Launcher for Android.
- A browser configured to use Bing as its default search engine.
Not all mobile earning methods are available in all regions. Also, do not assume that using every device automatically multiplies the same opportunity. Microsoft may apply separate PC and mobile counters, and the dashboard is the best place to determine what remains available on your account.

- THE PERFECT GAMING GIFT — Buy an XBOX Gift Card for yourself or a friend and let them choose the games, add‑ons, subscriptions, and accessories they want most.

- NO FEES OR EXPIRATION — XBOX Gift Cards never expire and have no service fees, so your balance is ready whenever you are.
5. Use Windows taskbar search for searches you were already going to make
Microsoft lists searching through the Windows 10/11 taskbar search box as an earning route. If you already use Windows Search to find an app, file, setting, or web result, it may be a convenient way to use Bing. Keep the search natural and avoid entering meaningless strings simply to hit a target.
6. Check Xbox quests and eligible Microsoft Store activity
Microsoft may offer points for selected Xbox games and quests. It also lists eligible purchases through the Microsoft Store online, on Xbox, or through Microsoft Store apps.
Do not buy something you do not need just to earn points. The cost of an unnecessary purchase will almost always outweigh the value of the points. Treat Store earning as a possible rebate on a planned purchase, not as a reason to spend more.
Eligibility can vary by country, region, product, platform, and promotion. Microsoft specifically notes that searching on Bing.com and buying through Microsoft Store on Xbox may not earn points in every market.
7. Check Edge and MSN opportunities
Microsoft’s earning documentation also lists using the Microsoft Edge app and reading articles on MSN, where offered. These are account- and region-dependent opportunities. Read articles you actually want to read; rapidly opening or clicking through content can be treated as suspicious activity.
A practical seven-minute Rewards checklist
- Sign in: Open rewards.bing.com with the correct Microsoft account.
- Check the dashboard: Review the earn page and points breakdown page.
- Complete the Daily Set: Look for the green completion checkmark.
- Review bonus tiles: Complete relevant quizzes, trivia, or other activities.
- Search naturally: Use Bing during normal browsing and work, not in a rapid batch.
- Check other devices: Review available mobile, Edge, Xbox, and MSN opportunities.
- Protect the streak: Confirm that Streak Protection is enabled if the feature appears on your account.
The routine is intentionally simple. Microsoft does not publish a single official command, script, or shortcut that safely bypasses daily limits.
How to protect a Daily Set streak
Streaks can add value over time, but they are easy to lose through account, location, or timing mistakes.
Turn on Streak Protection
- Desktop: Sign in at rewards.bing.com and use the toggle next to Streak protection.
- Mobile: On the Rewards dashboard, scroll farther down the page and look for the toggle next to Daily set.
To see how many protection days remain, select Streak Protection in the information bar near the main activities area. Microsoft says the feature must be enabled before the remaining-day count appears.
Microsoft currently says Streak Protection starts with 14 days. You cannot manually earn extra protection days, and there is no current method for adding more. The allotment renews at the start of each calendar year.
A streak may reset if you did not complete the Daily Set on time, used a VPN, had a different time zone or altered device time setting, or were signed in to a different account. Streak Protection is a safety net, not a way to continue earning while intentionally ignoring the Daily Set.

Can work or school searches earn points for a personal account?
Microsoft provides an account-linking option when the organization’s administrator has enabled it. This can allow Bing searches and Windows search-box searches made while signed in with a work or school account to credit a linked personal Microsoft Rewards account.
Link the accounts
- Go to Bing.com.
- Sign in with the work or school account.
- Select the profile picture.
- Select Activate rewards & more.
- Sign in with the personal Microsoft account.
- Verify the accounts.
- Select Link now.
Rewards can only be earned and redeemed through the personal Microsoft account. If the option is missing, the organization may not have enabled the feature. Microsoft says administrator changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect. Review Microsoft’s work-search account-linking instructions before changing account settings.
Unlink the accounts
- Go to Bing.com and sign in with the work or school account.
- Select the profile picture.
- Select Manage rewards access.
- Open the Linked account tab.
- Select Unlink.
- Select Unlink again in the confirmation window.
Why Microsoft Rewards searches are not crediting
If your balance does not change, do not immediately search faster or create another account. Check these causes in order:
- Wrong account: Bing, MSN, Xbox, the Bing app, and the browser may be signed in to different Microsoft accounts.
- Daily counter is full: PC or mobile searches may have reached the applicable daily maximum.
- Give Mode is enabled: Microsoft lists Give Mode as a reason searches may not earn personal points.
- Synchronization problem: Browser data may not be syncing correctly with Rewards data.
- Automated-looking behavior: Rapid, repetitive, meaningless, or scripted searches can be excluded.
- Region detection: Microsoft may determine that you are outside the current market.
Microsoft also recommends remaining signed in at the relevant earning entry point. Signing in to Bing with one account while viewing Rewards under another is a common reason points appear to be missing.

Microsoft may display a notice saying that searches will earn points only after a specified waiting period, or that searches during a particular period do not qualify. The restriction is not necessarily permanent; Microsoft says it may be removed after search behavior is judged normal.
Stop trying to force more searches. Avoid automation, allow the stated waiting period to pass, and then return to ordinary, varied searches. Repeated violations can lead to suspension and invalidation of earned points.
What Microsoft prohibits
There is no supported command syntax for farming Microsoft Rewards points. Microsoft’s current support material expressly prohibits bots, macros, programs, mobile emulators, cheat codes, and other automated methods.
Microsoft also prohibits:
- Rapid, back-to-back searches.
- Spamming letters or numbers into Bing.
- Rapidly clicking through articles.
- Rapidly opening articles from bookmarks to accumulate points.
- Using a VPN, proxy, or service that alters your true IP address to manipulate earning.
- Attempting to earn from more than one country on the same day.
- Redeeming points outside the country where they were earned.
Using a VPN to imitate a higher-paying country is therefore not a legitimate optimization strategy. It can also create a location mismatch that prevents redemption or resets a streak. See Microsoft’s search-limitation guidance and program rules.
How to redeem Microsoft Rewards points
Open the Redeem page from the Rewards dashboard to see the offers currently available to your account. Gift cards, sweepstakes, subscriptions, and other offers can differ by country and region, so do not rely on an old screenshot or a points-price list from another market.
Redeem in the correct region
Redemption must occur in the same region where the account was registered. If you are traveling, Microsoft may show a “currently traveling” error when you try to redeem from another market or region. Do not use a VPN or proxy to work around it.

Phone verification requirements
Redemption requires a mobile or landline phone number. VoIP numbers are not permitted. Microsoft says one phone number can be associated with a maximum of six Microsoft Rewards accounts per household for redemption purposes.
If phone verification fails repeatedly because too many attempts were made, Microsoft says to wait 48 hours before trying again.
Retrieve a redeemed gift-card code
- Open Order History.
- Find the redeemed reward.
- Select Order Details.
- Select Resend to resend the confirmation email if necessary.
Microsoft says gift-card availability can change. A card may disappear or become temporarily unavailable, and support does not provide restock or removal dates.
Rewards orders are generally final. Microsoft says they cannot normally be canceled or exchanged for a points refund, except for defective products or where applicable law requires otherwise. Check the Microsoft Rewards refund and exchange policy before redeeming a large balance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do Microsoft Rewards points expire?
Yes. Microsoft states that points expire after 12 months without earning activity. Its redemption guidance also describes the condition as not earning or redeeming anything for 12 months. If you use Rewards only occasionally, check your account rather than assuming an old balance will remain indefinitely.
Because offers can change and gift cards can become unavailable, redeeming once you reach a reward you genuinely want may be more practical than holding points indefinitely. Do not redeem impulsively for an item you would not otherwise use.

Myth: Everyone has the same maximum number of points per day
False. Microsoft does not publish one universal daily point total. Search limits, activities, rates, promotions, and offers vary by region and account level. The documented search limits are up to 10 searches per day at Level 1 and up to 30 at Level 2—not a universal total-points cap.
Myth: Every Bing search counts
False. Searches may not credit because the daily counter is full, Give Mode is enabled, the wrong account is signed in, browser data is not syncing, the searches appear automated, or Microsoft detects that you are outside the current market.
Myth: The fastest method is to run many searches back-to-back
False. Microsoft specifically warns against rapid searching. A slower pattern of genuine searches is safer than a high-speed burst that triggers a limitation.
Myth: A VPN earns higher rates
False and risky. Microsoft prohibits VPNs, proxies, altered IP addresses, earning from multiple countries on the same day, and redemption outside the earning country.

Myth: Every advertised gift card is always available
False. Gift cards can be removed or temporarily unavailable, and Microsoft does not publish restock or removal dates.
A sensible personal-finance strategy
To make Rewards worthwhile rather than wasteful:
- Set a low-effort routine: Complete the dashboard activities and use Bing naturally rather than spending significant time chasing small point totals.
- Never manufacture purchases: Only buy eligible Microsoft Store items you already planned to buy.
- Track your redemption goal: Choose a useful reward before spending points on low-value alternatives.
- Check the actual offer: Point prices and availability change by market and over time.
- Protect the account: Correct sign-in, normal search behavior, and accurate location matter more than speed.
- Redeem before inactivity: Do not leave the account untouched for 12 months.
The best hourly return is usually achieved by integrating Rewards into normal browsing, mobile use, gaming, or planned Microsoft purchases—not by treating the program as a job.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Microsoft Rewards points can I earn per day?
There is no universal daily point total. Microsoft documents Bing search eligibility of up to 10 searches per day for Level 1 and up to 30 for Level 2, but activities, rates, limits, and offers vary by account and region.
Why did my Bing searches stop earning points?
The daily PC or mobile counter may be full, Give Mode may be enabled, you may be signed in to the wrong account, browser data may not be syncing, Microsoft may detect automated-looking behavior, or your location may appear outside the current market.
Can I use a VPN to earn more Microsoft Rewards points?
No. Microsoft prohibits VPNs, proxies, services that alter the true IP address, earning from multiple countries on the same day, and redeeming points outside the country where they were earned.
How many Streak Protection days do I get?
Microsoft currently says Streak Protection starts with 14 days. You cannot manually earn additional days, and the allotment renews at the beginning of each calendar year.
Do Microsoft Rewards points expire?
Yes. Microsoft says points expire after 12 months without earning activity. Its redemption guidance also refers to not earning or redeeming anything for 12 months.
Can I earn points from work or school Bing searches?
Potentially. The organization’s administrator must enable account linking. After linking a work or school account to a personal Microsoft account, eligible Bing and Windows search-box searches can credit the personal account. Administrator changes may take up to 24 hours.
How do I find a redeemed Microsoft Rewards gift-card code?
Open Order History, find the reward, select Order Details, and use Resend to resend the confirmation email if needed.
