This is Your Last Day to Claim a Piece of Apple’s $96 Million Siri Settlement: Here’s How

Apple's Siri privacy settlement was worth $95 million, not $96 million, and its July 2, 2025 claim deadline has passed. Here's what former claimants should know about payments, reissues and scams.

The deadline has passed. The Apple Siri privacy settlement was worth $95 million—not $96 million—and the deadline to submit a claim was July 2, 2025. As of August 9, 2026, the official settlement website is no longer accepting new claims, and its payment-reissue window has also expired.

If you filed before the deadline, you may still need to check your payment method or contact information. If you did not file, advertisements suggesting you can still claim money from the old settlement are misleading.

What the Apple Siri settlement covered

The case was Lopez et al. v. Apple Inc., Case No. 4:19-cv-04577-JSW, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. It concerned allegations that Siri sometimes activated unintentionally and captured or shared conversations that users intended to keep private or confidential. Apple denied wrongdoing and liability.

The covered period ran from September 17, 2014, through December 31, 2024. In general, eligible class members were U.S. residents or residents of U.S. territories who:

  • Owned or purchased a Siri-enabled device during the covered period;
  • Had Siri enabled; and
  • Experienced an unintended Siri activation during a conversation intended to be private or confidential.

Covered products included the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, iMac, HomePod, iPod touch and Apple TV. A claimant could submit claims for up to five devices.

How much could people receive?

The settlement advertised compensation of up to $20 per claimed device. That was a maximum, not a guaranteed payment. The amount depended on the number of valid claims and devices submitted because payments were calculated pro rata from the net settlement fund after approved costs and other deductions.

For example, someone claiming five eligible devices was not automatically entitled to $100. If total approved claims exceeded the amount available, each valid device claim would receive less than the advertised maximum.

The official website says payments could be delivered by physical check, ACH or direct deposit, or digital check. People expecting a digital check were advised to review their spam or junk folders. The site now says the deadline to request a payment reissue has expired.

What to do if you already filed

  1. Check the information you used on the claim. Look for settlement emails, payment notices and messages from the administrator. Search your inbox and spam folder for the settlement name or your claim details.
  2. Review your bank account and mail. Look for an ACH deposit, digital-check notice or paper check beginning with the distribution period announced by the administrator.
  3. Do not submit a second claim. The filing period is closed, and duplicate submissions will not create a new entitlement.
  4. Be cautious about follow-up requests. A message asking for cryptocurrency, a wallet address, a gift-card payment or an upfront processing fee is not a normal way to receive a class-action payment.

Because the payment-reissue portal has expired, people who missed, lost or failed to deposit a payment may no longer be able to request a replacement through the official process.

What to do if you never filed

There is no remaining claim route for the Lopez Siri privacy settlement. During the filing window, a Claim Identification Code from an email or postcard was not required; eligible people could use the official “Submit a Claim” page without one. That page is now closed, so finding an old notice or code will not reopen the filing period.

Do not give personal or financial information to a website promising to enroll you after July 2, 2025. The official privacy-settlement domain was LopezVoiceAssistantSettlement.com, but its claim and payment-reissue windows are closed. An unofficial page that promises a guaranteed $20, demands cryptocurrency or asks for a fee should be treated as a likely scam.

Do not confuse this with a newer Siri lawsuit

Some recent posts combine the closed privacy settlement with a separate case involving delayed personalized Siri and Apple Intelligence features. The newer matter is Landsheft et al. v. Apple Inc., Case No. 5:25-cv-02668. It concerns a proposed $250 million settlement, not the $95 million privacy settlement.

That newer proposal concerns certain U.S. purchases of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16-series models made between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. It received preliminary approval on July 17, 2026. As of August 9, 2026, its claim deadline was not a fixed calendar date; the court order said claims would be due 90 days after the settlement notice date.

Do not use the old Lopez settlement website to make a claim in the newer case. Readers interested in that matter should rely on the court-approved notice and case materials for the Landsheft case once the notice process provides the filing instructions.

FAQ

Can I still claim money from Apple’s $95 million Siri settlement?

No. The deadline to submit a claim was July 2, 2025. The official settlement site no longer accepts new claims.

Was the Apple Siri settlement worth $96 million?

No. The privacy settlement was worth $95 million. Eligible claimants could receive up to $20 per claimed device, but the final amount was not guaranteed and depended on the number of valid claims.

What if I filed a claim but never received my payment?

Check your bank account, physical mail, email and spam folder for an ACH deposit, check or digital-check notice. The official site states that the payment-reissue deadline has expired, so a replacement request may no longer be available.

Is the $250 million Apple Siri settlement the same case?

No. The $250 million proposal is a separate case involving delayed personalized Siri and Apple Intelligence features. It is not the closed $95 million Siri privacy settlement, and it has different eligibility rules and filing instructions.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: There is no final-day filing opportunity left for the Apple Siri privacy settlement. The correct figure was $95 million, the claim deadline was July 2, 2025, and the official payment-reissue window has expired. If you filed, check your payment records and watch for scams; if you did not, be wary of anyone offering to submit a late claim for a fee.
