Amazon documented a six-month Disney+ promotion in 2021, but it was tied to Amazon Music Unlimited—not Amazon Prime or Prime Video—and the available sources do not confirm that it can still be redeemed. New Amazon Music Unlimited customers in the U.S. and Canada qualified for six months; existing customers qualified for three. Current Disney+ subscribers were excluded.
What the Amazon promotion offered
Amazon announced the promotion on June 28, 2021. It described Disney+ access as “on us” for eligible Amazon Music Unlimited customers in the U.S. and Canada: new Music Unlimited customers could receive six months, while existing customers could receive three. This was not described as a general benefit of Amazon Prime or Prime Video. Amazon’s announcement also said, “Current subscribers to Disney+ are ineligible for this promotion.”
The offer therefore was not an unconditional Disney+ giveaway: eligibility depended on an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, and existing Disney+ subscribers did not qualify under the announced terms. Amazon’s announcement does not state the Music Unlimited price, a promotion end date, or a detailed redemption process.
Can you still claim six months of Disney+?
The announcement establishes that the offer existed in 2021, but it does not confirm present availability. As of October 8, 2026, the sources available for this article do not establish whether the same promotion can be redeemed now. Do not assume that an old announcement is a live deal; check Amazon and Disney’s current offer terms before enrolling or relying on the promotion.

Disney’s U.S. help page says it does not offer a free trial. That statement concerns Disney+ subscriptions generally and does not confirm whether a separate Amazon promotion is active. Disney’s U.S. pricing information is the relevant place to check direct subscription options.

These are Disney’s listed U.S. direct-subscription prices, not a stated renewal price for the 2021 Amazon promotion. Disney cautions that prices through third-party billing providers may vary; its billing-partner information explains that billing arrangements can differ. The prices above should not be applied to a historic Amazon offer as though its post-promotion terms were known.
What would happen after a promotional period?
The 2021 announcement does not specify what Disney+ would cost after the promotional access, when any charge would begin, or how cancellation would work. Those details cannot be established from the announcement. If Amazon presents a current offer, read the offer-specific terms at checkout and note the billing provider, end date, price after the promotion, and cancellation instructions before accepting.
