Current verified offers: most new Wix customers can use TAKE10 for 10% off a Yearly Premium plan during the first year. Wix also advertises up to 50% off for verified students through Student Beans, but that is not a universal code available to everyone.
The important budgeting detail is what happens afterward: Wix promotions generally do not reduce renewal prices. Before buying, compare the discounted first-year total with the regular renewal cost, domain expenses, and any add-ons your site needs.

How to use the Wix 10% code
- Go to the Wix pricing page.
- Log in or create a Wix account. If necessary, create the site you want to upgrade.
- Select a Yearly Premium plan.
- Continue to checkout.
- Find the box labeled Enter Promo Code.
- Enter
TAKE10and apply it. - Check that the reduced amount is visible in the order summary before submitting the purchase.
Do not assume the code worked merely because Wix accepted the text. The discount should appear in the checkout total. If the total has not changed, resolve the issue before paying.
Who qualifies for TAKE10?
Wix presents TAKE10 as a discount for a first-time upgrade to a Yearly Premium plan. It is not a general discount for every Wix transaction. The main exclusions and conditions are:
#1 Best Overall
- It is for a yearly Premium subscription, not an ordinary monthly purchase.
- It is intended for the first applicable upgrade or purchase.
- It applies to the first year only.
- It does not apply to Wix Studio plans.
- Only one promo code can be used per purchase.
Wix pricing varies by country and location, so the amount saved depends on the price shown in your own account and checkout. A percentage discount is more useful than a copied dollar figure: multiply the eligible first-year plan price by 10% to estimate the saving, then verify the exact amount on the payment page.
How the student discount works
Wix advertises a student offer of up to 50% off Premium plans. The offer is tied to student verification through Student Beans. After verification, an eligible student receives a student-specific promotional code or offer instructions.
That distinction matters. There is no verified universal “50% off Wix” code that any shopper can enter. A website claiming that TAKE10 gives 50% off is describing the code incorrectly: Wix currently presents it as a 10% offer.
Students should start at Wix’s Wix for Students page, complete the Student Beans verification process, and read the offer terms before checkout. The eligible plan, subscription period, and renewal terms should be confirmed in the final order summary.

Wix renewal pricing: the cost people overlook
A promotional first year does not normally lock in the same price for future years. Wix says promotions cannot be used for ordinary Premium-plan renewals, and later renewals are charged at the plan’s regular price.
For example, if a plan costs $X at the normal annual rate and a promotion reduces the first year to 90% of that amount, year one costs 0.9X. The following renewal can return to X, before any taxes or separate products. The exact currency and price depend on your location and plan.
Check these items before submitting payment:
- The discounted amount for the first billing period.
- The date of the next automatic renewal.
- The regular renewal price shown in your account or checkout terms.
- Whether the subscription renews automatically.
- Separate charges for domains, business email, apps, or other services.
If the renewal price is too high for your budget, set a calendar reminder well before the renewal date. Cancelling or changing a plan at the last minute can create avoidable billing problems, and a promotion should not be treated as a permanent subscription price.
What comes with a Wix Premium purchase?
One-year domain voucher
Some eligible Premium plans include a one-year free domain voucher. The voucher is generally associated with a first-time plan purchase. Wix says it is not reissued when renewing or upgrading an existing plan if a voucher was already issued for that site.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe domain is not permanently free. After the voucher period ends, the domain renews at the standard price unless you cancel or transfer it. Include that future renewal in the real cost of keeping the website online.
Free premium apps
Some eligible yearly Premium or Studio customers may receive one year of selected third-party apps at no charge. This is not guaranteed for every customer or plan. If the offer appears in your account, redeem it within 60 days of purchasing the plan and check what happens when the free period ends.
Using a discount on an existing Wix site
Wix’s current upgrade path is:
- Open Premium Subscriptions.
- Choose More Actions.
- Select Upgrade plan.
- Click Select for the plan you want.
- Choose the subscription period.
- Continue to checkout.
- Submit the purchase after reviewing the total.
An upgrade takes effect immediately. If you have unused time or credit on the old plan, Wix says it applies that remaining credit after coupon or seasonal-sale discounts. That means the displayed calculation may not look like a simple percentage off the amount you originally paid.
An existing plan is not the same as a new purchase for promotion purposes. Wix does not allow promotions for ordinary renewals. A promotion may be available when upgrading, but the promotional rate applies only to the first applicable month or year.

Why a Wix promo code may not work
| What you see | Likely reason | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Code rejected | The plan or account is ineligible | Confirm that it is a Yearly Premium plan and that the account qualifies as a first-time upgrade |
| No price change after applying | The code was not accepted or the offer does not cover the selected item | Look for a visible discount line in the checkout summary |
| Code fails during renewal | Wix promotions do not apply to ordinary renewals | Review whether you are renewing or upgrading |
| Using a Studio site | The offer is for Premium plans, not Wix Studio plans | Check which editor and plan category your site uses |
| Discount is smaller than expected | Another promotion, remaining credit, tax, or an ineligible item affects the calculation | Review the complete itemized total |
| Renewal is more expensive | The introductory discount ended | Compare the next renewal price with the first-year price |
Wix also says only one promo code may be used per purchase, so testing several codes in the same transaction will not stack the discounts. If the code has already been used, or if the account is not considered a first-time upgrade, the checkout may reject it.
Premium plans versus Wix Studio plans
Premium plans apply to sites built with the Wix Editor. Sites built with the Studio Editor require Studio plans. This is more than a naming detail: choosing the wrong plan category can make a valid-looking coupon inapplicable.
Editor X should not be treated as a current separate plan category. Wix completed the transition from Editor X to Wix Studio in January 2025. If an older guide tells you to select Editor X, its instructions are outdated.

- Identify the site. Each Premium plan applies to one site. A second site generally needs its own plan.
- Record the first-year total. Use the amount shown after the discount, including applicable taxes.
- Record the renewal total. Do not use the promotional amount as your long-term annual budget.
- Add related services. Include domain renewal, email, paid apps, and any other recurring products.
- Compare alternatives. A larger percentage discount is not necessarily cheaper if it applies to a plan with features you do not need.
- Set a renewal reminder. Reassess the subscription before the discounted period expires.
For a personal website, the cheapest plan that provides the required storage, branding controls, domain connection, and payment or commerce features may be sufficient. For a business site, account for the cost of keeping those features active after the introductory period rather than choosing solely on the first-year promotion.

FAQ
What is the current Wix promo code?
The verified public code is TAKE10, which Wix presents as 10% off an eligible Yearly Premium plan for a first-time upgrade. It applies during the first year and excludes Wix Studio plans.
Is there a universal Wix code for 50% off?
No verified universal 50% code is available in the current offer information. Wix advertises up to 50% off for students who verify through Student Beans and receive a student-specific offer.
Can I use a Wix promo code when my plan renews?
Wix says promotions cannot be used for ordinary Premium-plan renewals. A promotion may apply to an eligible upgrade, but the reduced price is limited to the first applicable billing period.
Will my Wix discount continue next year?
Usually not. Promotional pricing applies to the first year or month covered by the offer. Later renewals generally use Wix’s regular price, which can be substantially higher.

The Bottom Line
TAKE10 is the verified general Wix offer: 10% off an eligible Yearly Premium plan for the first year. Students may qualify for up to 50% off after Student Beans verification, but there is no public 50% code for everyone. Treat either offer as an introductory saving, check the regular renewal price, and confirm the discount is visible at checkout before paying.
