Best Auto Dialer Software

Compare leading auto dialer software by dialing type, price, team size, CRM features, hidden costs, and telemarketing compliance requirements.

An auto dialer is not automatically a predictive dialer—or a robocall system. It may call one contact at a time, present an account record before dialing, or place several calls simultaneously for one agent. That distinction affects both productivity and compliance.

For most small sales teams, the best starting points are JustCall, CloudTalk, or PhoneBurner. Larger contact centers should look at Five9 or NiCE CXone Personal Connection. Teams that specifically want limited multi-line dialing should consider Kixie. The cheapest advertised subscription is not necessarily the lowest-cost option once extra numbers, usage, transcription, SMS, and dialer add-ons are included.

Best auto dialer software at a glance

Software Best for Dialing options or standout feature Pricing snapshot
Five9 Enterprise contact centers Predictive, power, progressive, preview, and manual-touch dialing; CRM and compliance tools Quote-based
NiCE CXone Personal Connection Large predictive-dialing operations Predictive and progressive dialing, answering-machine detection, list management Quote-based
JustCall SMB and mid-market sales teams Sequential Power Dialer, CRM logging, voicemail drop, AI transcripts; predictive dialing on SalesPro Pro: $49/user/month annually or $69 monthly
CloudTalk Smaller or international teams Cloud phone system with Power Dialer available as an add-on or included in Expert $25–$49/user/month annually before possible add-ons
Aircall Existing Aircall users Power Dialer and Voicemail Drop on Professional Dynamic pricing
PhoneBurner Personalized outbound calling Sequential power dialing with voicemail, email, and SMS workflows $140/user/month annually for Standard; higher for other tiers
Kixie Limited multi-line sales dialing Multi-Line PowerDialer supports up to four simultaneous lines Public page does not show a fixed dollar price

Prices and included features can change, so verify the checkout or sales quote before signing. Several vendors also price international usage, phone numbers, SMS, AI tools, or dialer capacity separately.

Our picks

Best overall for enterprise: Five9

Five9 is the most complete choice for a contact center that handles both inbound and outbound work. Its current outbound offering includes predictive, power, progressive, preview, and manual-touch dialing. That matters because a single campaign may need different dialing behavior: predictive for a large, clean list; preview for a high-value account; and manual touch for a sensitive or regulated call.

Five9 also lists integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, Oracle, and Zendesk. Compliance-related features include Do Not Call list management, time-zone dialing rules, STIR/SHAKEN-based Certified Caller, and manual-touch controls.

This is not a budget tool. Pricing is quote-based, and the total cost will depend on seats, implementation, integrations, telephony usage, and campaign requirements. It makes financial sense when the organization needs a full contact-center platform—not merely a faster way for two salespeople to work through a spreadsheet.

Best for large predictive campaigns: NiCE CXone Personal Connection

NiCE CXone Personal Connection is aimed at larger operations that need native outbound campaign management. It supports predictive and progressive dialing and emphasizes list management, answering-machine detection, compliance controls, and keeping agents connected to the next available interaction.

It is a better fit than a basic power dialer when the team has enough agents and call volume to benefit from pacing algorithms. A small team may not have enough simultaneous agent availability for predictive dialing to work efficiently, however. NiCE also makes clear that software configuration alone does not eliminate TCPA or other compliance responsibility.

Best transparent-priced option for small businesses: JustCall

JustCall is the most straightforward choice for an SMB that wants a CRM-connected dialer without buying an enterprise contact-center system. Its Power Dialer works sequentially: the agent reviews the contact, calls, skips when appropriate, and moves to the next record. The platform lists automatic call logging, CRM synchronization, voicemail drop, dispositions, reattempt rules, post-call SMS, AI transcripts, and summaries.

The current pricing page lists Pro at $49 per user per month when billed annually, or $69 when billed monthly, with Power Dialer included. SalesPro adds predictive dialing of up to 10 lines, power and dynamic dialing, and unlimited outbound calling, but it is custom-priced and lists a minimum of two licenses.

  • Plug-and-Play USB Computer Headset: Simply plug the USB-A connector into your computer and you’re ready to talk or listen without the need to install software
  • Padded Comfort: Comfortable headphones with adjustable headband features swivel-mounted, leatherette ear cushions for hours of comfort and is easy to clean

Read the usage terms before treating the subscription as an all-in cost. JustCall identifies possible credit usage for international calls, out-of-plan calls or messages, bulk SMS, transcription beyond included allowances, voicemail transcription, AI-agent minutes, automated SMS, answering-machine detection, and MMS. Additional phone numbers can also cost extra.

Best lower-cost cloud-phone option: CloudTalk

CloudTalk is worth considering when the team needs a broader cloud phone system as well as outbound dialing. Its help documentation lists annual prices of $25 for Starter, $29 for Essential, and $49 for Expert per user per month. Monthly prices are listed as $34, $39, and $69 respectively.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Power Dialer is an add-on on some plans and included in Expert; the vendor’s feature-pricing page lists the add-on at $25 per user per month. Expert also has a three-seat minimum according to the published plan information. That means a team comparing CloudTalk with a $49 single-user product should calculate the minimum number of seats and the dialer add-on, not just compare headline plan prices.

CloudTalk can be a practical fit for smaller or geographically distributed teams, but confirm destination rates, number fees, recording terms, and international calling allowances for the countries you actually call.

Best for teams already using Aircall: Aircall Professional

Aircall makes the most sense when a company already uses its phone platform or values its support and sales workflows. Aircall places Power Dialer and Voicemail Drop under Professional, rather than Essentials. Professional also adds Salesforce CTI, advanced analytics, live monitoring, smart routing, and queue callback.

Aircall’s public pricing is displayed dynamically based on country, billing term, and license count, so there is no universal price to use for a simple comparison. Ask for a quote that separately identifies the number of users, dialer access, phone numbers, international usage, recording, and any implementation costs.

Best for personalized sequential outreach: PhoneBurner

PhoneBurner is designed for reps who want high call volume without turning every campaign into a predictive multi-line operation. Its power dialer is paired with one-click voicemail, email, and SMS workflows, making it useful when each contact needs a follow-up sequence rather than just another automated attempt.

Current public pricing lists Standard at $140 per user per month annually or $165 monthly. Professional is $165 annually billed or $195 monthly, while Premium is $183 annually billed or $215 monthly. All listed tiers include unlimited power dialing. Professional adds softphone dialing, live monitoring and coaching, and Open API. Premium adds a PhoneBurner number, inbound routing, in-app callbacks, transcription and AI note-taking, and SMS, subject to carrier approval.

PhoneBurner’s price is high compared with basic cloud-phone subscriptions, but it may be reasonable when one rep’s workflow depends on fast, personalized follow-up. Budget separately for A2P 10DLC registration and approval if the campaign will use application-based SMS.

Best for limited multi-line dialing: Kixie

Kixie offers a single-line PowerDialer and a Multi-Line PowerDialer. The current feature table specifies up to four simultaneous lines for the multi-line version. It also lists unlimited U.S. and Canada minutes, CRM integration, voicemail drop, live coaching, a seven-day trial without a credit card, and AI Human Voice Detection as a premium add-on.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Kixie is a focused sales-dialing option rather than a full enterprise contact-center suite. It may suit a sales team that wants more connection speed than a sequential power dialer provides but does not need the capacity advertised by larger predictive-dialer platforms. Test human-answer detection and connection timing during the trial; no detection system should be assumed perfect.

Which type of auto dialer do you need?

Dialer type How it works Usually best for Main trade-off
Power Calls one contact at a time and advances after the call Small sales teams and structured follow-up Lower volume than multi-line dialing
Predictive Calls ahead of agent availability using pacing algorithms High-volume campaigns with many active agents Abandoned calls, dead air, and compliance risk if pacing is poor
Progressive Calls when an agent becomes available Teams prioritizing control and lower abandonment Slower than predictive dialing
Preview Shows the record and history before the agent dials Complex, high-value, or regulated conversations Less automated throughput
Parallel or multi-line Places several calls simultaneously for one agent Fast outbound prospecting Requires strong answer detection and pacing controls

A useful rule of thumb from Five9 is predictive dialing for campaigns with more than 10 active agents, progressive dialing for fewer than 10, and preview dialing when the agent needs customer context. These are starting points, not universal thresholds.

Compliance and operating costs to check before buying

Predictive dialing can create abandoned-call exposure

Under the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, a call is abandoned when a person answers but the telemarketer does not connect the call to a sales representative within two seconds of the completed greeting. The FTC safe harbor includes a maximum abandonment rate of 3% of calls answered by a live person, measured per campaign, a ring time of at least 15 seconds or four rings, and a recorded message identifying the seller and telephone number when no representative is available. The message must not include a sales pitch, and records must be retained to demonstrate compliance.

That makes pacing, answer detection, agent availability, and campaign-level reporting part of the purchase decision. A dialer that generates more attempted calls but more silent or abandoned calls may increase regulatory and reputational costs rather than improve results.

Live-agent dialing is different from prerecorded or AI-voice calling

An auto dialer that connects a live agent is not operationally identical to a robocall. Calls delivering prerecorded or artificial voice messages can trigger additional consent, disclosure, identification, and opt-out requirements. The FCC has stated that restrictions on artificial or prerecorded voice apply to AI-generated voice technologies.

Do not choose a platform on the assumption that an AI voice feature is covered simply because the vendor offers it. Confirm the campaign’s consent basis, message type, number type, state-law requirements, and opt-out process with qualified counsel.

Manage Do Not Call lists and local calling hours

Covered telemarketers generally need to update National Do Not Call data at least every 31 days and honor company-specific opt-out requests. Unless the recipient has consented to different hours, outbound telemarketing calls generally cannot be made before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. local time at the called location. State rules may be stricter.

B2B calling is not a blanket exemption. FTC National Do Not Call provisions generally do not cover business-to-business calls, but FCC and state laws can still apply, and recent FTC rules expanded certain B2B protections and recordkeeping obligations.

Caller ID reputation is part of the cost

STIR/SHAKEN, number registration, caller-ID consistency, and spam-label monitoring can affect whether people answer. Five9 advertises Certified Caller, while PhoneBurner offers number-management and spam-remediation services through ARMOR as an add-on. These tools may help, but no vendor can guarantee that carriers will never label calls as spam.

How to compare the real cost

  1. Count active users and minimum seats. A plan priced per user may require two or three licenses even if only one person is dialing.
  2. Identify the dialer tier. Check whether Power Dialer, predictive capacity, answering-machine detection, voicemail drop, or preview mode is included or sold separately.
  3. Estimate calling destinations. Separate U.S. and Canada allowances from international minutes, toll-free calls, premium numbers, and other excluded traffic.
  4. Add communication extras. Include phone numbers, SMS, MMS, transcription, AI minutes, recording storage, and number registration.
  5. Price the workflow, not just the phone call. CRM integration, automatic dispositions, reporting, coaching, and compliance logs can reduce manual work or prevent expensive mistakes.
  6. Run a small campaign first. Measure live-answer rate, abandoned-call rate, connection delay, voicemail accuracy, opt-out handling, and spam labeling before committing to a large list.

A simple comparison formula is:

Monthly cost = licenses + dialer add-ons + phone numbers + included-plan overages + international usage + SMS/AI/transcription + setup or implementation

How to choose

  • Choose Five9 if you need a full enterprise contact center with several dialing modes and blended inbound/outbound operations.
  • Choose NiCE CXone Personal Connection if predictive or progressive outbound campaigns, list management, and compliance workflows are central requirements.
  • Choose JustCall for a transparent-priced, CRM-connected power dialer for a small or midsize sales team.
  • Choose CloudTalk if you want a lower-cost cloud phone platform and can budget for the Power Dialer add-on where necessary.
  • Choose Aircall Professional if your team already relies on Aircall and wants its Power Dialer and Voicemail Drop features.
  • Choose PhoneBurner when personalized, sequential follow-up is more valuable than predictive multi-line speed.
  • Choose Kixie when up to four simultaneous lines is enough and the team wants a sales-focused multi-line tool.

FAQ

What is the best auto dialer for a small business?

JustCall is the strongest transparent-priced starting point for many small businesses because its Pro plan includes Power Dialer, CRM synchronization, call logging, voicemail drop, and related sales workflows. CloudTalk can be cheaper as a phone platform, but its Power Dialer may require an add-on or a higher tier.

What is the difference between an auto dialer and a predictive dialer?

Auto dialer is a broad category. A power dialer calls one contact at a time, while a predictive dialer places calls ahead of agent availability and uses pacing algorithms. Predictive dialing can increase throughput for large teams but requires careful abandonment, answer-detection, and compliance controls.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Are auto dialers legal?

Auto dialing can be legal, but the rules depend on the campaign, consent, recipient, number type, message type, jurisdiction, and dialing behavior. Businesses may need Do Not Call screening, company-specific opt-outs, local-time controls, caller identification, and additional consent for prerecorded or AI-generated voice messages.

How much does auto dialer software cost?

Costs range from roughly $25 per user per month for some CloudTalk plans to more than $200 per user per month for higher PhoneBurner tiers. Enterprise products such as Five9 and NiCE are quote-based. Add-ons, minimum seats, international usage, extra numbers, SMS, transcription, AI minutes, and implementation can materially raise the final bill.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Pick the dialing method before picking the brand. JustCall is the clearest value choice for a typical SMB sales team; CloudTalk is attractive when a lower-cost cloud phone system is the priority; PhoneBurner is better for personalized sequential outreach; and Kixie is the focused choice for limited multi-line dialing. Five9 and NiCE are the serious enterprise options. In every case, calculate the full monthly cost and test abandonment, opt-outs, answer detection, and caller-ID reputation before putting a large campaign live.
