It pairs 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with hands-free voice control and Matter-over-Thread smart-home support. The catch for buyers weighing the price: reports indicate its Ethernet port is limited to 100 Mbps and its USB-A port uses USB 2.0, slower than the USB 3.0 port on the previous onn 4K Pro.
How much does the 2026 onn 4K Pro cost, and where is it available?
Walmart’s listing shows a price of $59.98 for the 2026 model. The listing is active, but stock and delivery options vary by location and color; check the selected ZIP code or store before making plans to buy. Walmart lists black and gray versions and identifies the device as compatible with the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
The rollout began with early store appearances and reports in April 2026. That early coverage cited a $59.88 listing price; Walmart’s current listing is the better reference for the price shown now. Availability can change, and an active product page does not mean every color is in stock everywhere. Check Walmart’s current product listing.
Make sure the listing is for the 2026 onn 4K Pro Streaming Device, Google TV with Gemini. Walmart has also sold a 2024 onn 4K Pro, an onn 4K Plus, a standard 4K box and a separate 2026 streaming stick. Their specifications are not interchangeable.

What features and hardware does the new onn 4K Pro have?
Walmart lists 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Reporting on the 2026 packaging and hardware adds details about Wi-Fi 6, the ports, microphones and remote. The processor is less certain: early reporting describes a quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM G310 V2 GPU, suggesting an Amlogic S905X5M-class chip, but that identification has not been established as an official Walmart specification.

What do 32GB of storage and Google TV with Gemini mean in practice?
More room for apps, but not 32GB free
The nominal 32GB capacity gives the device more room for apps than many low-cost streaming boxes. It may reduce how often you need to remove apps to free space, but the operating system and preinstalled software use some of that capacity. The amount available to install apps is not established by the listed figure.
Gemini branding is not a guarantee of identical features everywhere
Walmart markets the software as Google TV with Gemini. That identifies the platform and assistant branding; it does not promise that every Gemini feature will be available on every account, in every region or language, or on every software version. Voice functions also depend on internet access and Google account and software support.

Hands-free voice control has a privacy trade-off
Far-field microphones let you give voice commands without first pressing a button on the remote. When hands-free listening is enabled, the device listens for its wake phrase. Reporting describes a physical microphone mute switch; use it if you do not want wake-word listening. Muting the microphones should not be treated as disabling all account activity or other data collection.

What is the important downgrade from the previous onn 4K Pro?
The 2026 model adds Wi-Fi 6, more storage and USB-C power, but its reported wired connections are more limited than the prior model’s USB port. Reporting identifies the new Ethernet port as 100 Mbps and USB-A as USB 2.0; the previous 4K Pro had USB 3.0 and a barrel-style power connector. These reported port specifications matter most if you expect “Pro” to mean fast wired expansion.
- For ordinary streaming: 100-Mbps Ethernet is generally enough for common 4K streaming, assuming your internet service and network are adequate.
- For local media or large transfers: The 100-Mbps Ethernet limit and USB 2.0 port are less appealing for high-bitrate media libraries, file transfers or fast external drives.
- For simple accessories: USB 2.0 may be sufficient for basic storage or compatible accessories, but it is not a high-speed expansion connection.
The April hardware reporting describing these port and power changes is available from 9to5Google. The older model’s manual describes the previous device, not the 2026 unit, so do not use it as the new model’s specification sheet: previous onn 4K Pro manual.
How does it compare with the Google TV Streamer?
The clearest comparison is price and listed memory, not proven speed. The onn offers the lower-cost route to Google TV and lists 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6 and hands-free voice control. The Google TV Streamer also has 32GB of storage and has 4GB of RAM, compared with the onn’s 3GB. More RAM may give Google’s device more headroom for keeping apps available, but those figures alone do not establish which device feels faster or performs better in everyday use.
The onn is compelling if minimizing upfront cost is the priority and its listed features meet your needs. Google’s first-party device may suit buyers who place greater weight on Google’s own hardware and software integration. Walmart’s listing does not establish a specific software-support period for the onn, so buyers who need a published update commitment should compare vendors’ current support information rather than assume one.
For product details, see the Google TV Streamer and the reported comparison of the two devices. A specification comparison is not a substitute for controlled performance testing.

Will Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos work with your setup?
The box supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as output capabilities; that does not mean every show, app or service will deliver them. The television, soundbar or AV receiver, HDMI connection, streaming app, subscription tier and specific title all affect whether those formats are available.
- If Dolby Vision or Atmos does not appear, check that your TV and audio equipment support the format and that the device is connected to a compatible HDMI input.
- Check the app, title and subscription tier: not all content is encoded in these formats, and service support can vary.
- Review output settings and the HDMI cable or connection chain if compatible content still does not play in the expected format.
What does Matter-over-Thread support add?
Reported Matter-over-Thread support gives the box a smart-home role as well as a streaming one. It may let it work with compatible Matter devices, such as some locks, lights and sensors, within a suitable Google Home setup.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Matter is not a promise that every smart-home product or ecosystem will work. You may need compatible devices, an account, Google Home configuration and current firmware; Thread support alone does not turn the box into a universal hub. This capability is described in Android Authority’s reporting.
What is included, and what is known about the remote?
Walmart’s listing says the package includes the onn 4K Pro device, remote, two AAA batteries, HDMI cable, AC adapter and Quick Start Guide. The listing is the reference for the 2026 package; older-model manuals are not evidence that every accessory or remote behavior carries over unchanged.
Walmart highlights remote backlighting and Find My Remote. Reporting also describes a voice-control button, app shortcuts and a customizable button, but exact behavior can depend on the retail unit and software. The previous model’s manual describes a sound-based remote-finding feature, but that is not definitive documentation of how the 2026 remote works.

Who should buy the onn 4K Pro—and who should skip it?
It may be a good fit if you
- Want Google TV at a relatively low listed price in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Need more nominal storage than many budget streamers offer.
- Have a Wi-Fi 6 router or want Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.
- Value hands-free voice commands, a backlit remote or remote finding.
- Use Google Home and want to explore compatible Matter-over-Thread devices.
Consider another device if you
- Need gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, or a device for demanding local-media and file-transfer use.
- Live outside the listed U.S. and Puerto Rico region.
- Do not want Google TV’s recommendations, account integration or wake-word microphones.
- Need a specific, published software-support guarantee.
- Want a premium local-media player, gaming device or higher-end hardware rather than a streaming box.
Choose by ecosystem, not just resolution
Roku may suit viewers who prefer its interface and channel ecosystem; its Streaming Stick 4K is a compact alternative. Fire TV may be a better match for households built around Alexa and Prime Video; see Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The onn is the more natural fit for people specifically seeking Google TV, Google Cast, Gemini branding and Google Home integration. Compare the ecosystems and current product terms, not only 4K support.
What is not established yet?
- Exact processor: Early hardware reporting suggests a Cortex-A55 and ARM G310 V2 combination, but an official chipset identification is not established.
- Usable storage: 32GB is nominal capacity; the amount left for apps after system files is not stated.
- Real-world speed: Listed RAM and wireless standards do not prove how responsive the interface is or how it compares in sustained use.
- Software-support period: Walmart’s listing does not state a specific update guarantee.
- Gemini feature availability: The branding does not confirm that every feature is live for all accounts, regions or software versions.
- Remote and package details: Walmart lists included items and highlights two remote features, but not every reported remote behavior is confirmed for every retail unit or region.
How to avoid common buying and setup surprises
Check the exact model and local stock
On Walmart’s page, confirm the 2026 model name and select your location to see stock and delivery options. If buying through a marketplace listing, check the seller and avoid assuming an older onn 4K Pro or a 2026 stick has the same hardware.
If hands-free voice commands fail
Check that the physical microphone mute switch is off, hands-free control is enabled in software, the device is online and Google account setup is complete. Placement can also matter: a box inside a cabinet or near competing electronics may not hear commands reliably.
If wired streaming is slower than expected
Ethernet does not automatically mean gigabit speed. The reported 100-Mbps port may be adequate for streaming but is a limitation for high-bitrate local media or large transfers.
