Newmen’s product page currently lists the GM611 at $27.99 and marks it sold out; it does not verify an active Amazon listing or coupon. BetaNews’ deal report and Newmen’s product page support those separate price signals.
Bottom line on the deal: treat $9.99 as unverified unless the exact Amazon listing shows the right keyboard and the discount appears in your cart before you order. The historical report did not establish the coupon’s expiration, seller, shipping cost, or eligibility limits.
What is the Newmen GM611?
The GM611 is a wired mechanical keyboard with a compact 60% layout and 61 keys. The version tied to the reported offer has linear red switches, rainbow LED effects, a detachable cable, and manufacturer-advertised anti-ghosting and N-key rollover (NKRO). Newmen lists a GM611 driver in its support download center, dated October 6, 2024, but that does not establish software compatibility across operating systems. There is a connector discrepancy in the product materials: some describe a detachable Type-C cable, while another specification calls the interface Micro USB. Check the exact listing and packaging rather than assuming which connector your unit uses.

What does a 60% keyboard leave out?
A 60% board saves desk space by dropping the dedicated number pad, function row, navigation cluster, and usually the separate arrow-key cluster. Many missing functions are accessed with the Fn key and secondary key legends. What you get—and what the specifications do not prove
The manufacturer’s regional product materials describe 19 rainbow lighting effects, four brightness levels, five lighting-speed levels, NKRO, anti-ghosting, software customization, and foldable tilt feet. BetaNews also reported multimedia keys and software support. These are manufacturer or deal-article claims, not independently tested results. The available sources do not establish hot-swappable switches, a specific polling rate, latency, actuation force, switch lifespan, keycap material, or independent durability results. How do the red switches feel?
Linear switches move smoothly through the press without the tactile bump of a tactile switch or the distinct click of a clicky one. Some users prefer that feel for repeated gaming inputs. “Red” does not mean silent: keys can still make sound when they bottom out, and the case and stabilizers affect noise. The sources identify the relevant version as using linear red switches, but do not establish that these are Cherry MX Red switches.

Who might find it worthwhile?
- Budget-conscious gamers: a wired connection avoids battery management, and the compact layout leaves desk space for a mouse. The advertised NKRO and anti-ghosting may suit simultaneous key presses, but have not been independently validated here.
- Students and small-desk users: the small footprint can be useful if you are comfortable using Fn-layer shortcuts and do not need a number pad.

Who should skip it?
- Choose a larger layout if you depend on a number pad, dedicated arrow keys, or a function row.

Near $28, the deal is no longer the unusually low offer described in the 2025 article, so compare current listings and alternatives rather than paying an inflated marketplace price simply to get this model.
For a conventional full-size keyboard, a standard wired model may better suit office work, though it will not provide the GM611’s mechanical switches or compact gaming layout. Other compact mechanical models may offer wireless connectivity or hot-swappable switches, but their current stock and prices must be checked independently; the available product listings do not establish a live, directly comparable alternative offer.
