Best Buy Canada’s “Ultimate Smartphone Sale” reported discounts of up to $400 on selected Samsung, Google and OnePlus phones, but the promotion ended March 31, 2025. The prices below are historical snapshots, not current offers; a later campaign using the same name ran in 2026 and was a separate sale.
What the March 2025 sale offered
MobileSyrup reported the promotion on March 18, 2025, with a March 31 deadline. Its roundup covered selected Samsung, Google and OnePlus models. “Up to $400 off” applied to particular phones, not every item in the sale, and the report does not establish that these were the lowest prices available in Canada.
The table preserves the prices and savings reported at the time. They should not be used as current quotes or as evidence that a particular item was unlocked, sold directly by Best Buy, or still available. MobileSyrup’s March 18, 2025 roundup is the source for the historical figures.

Which historical deals stood out?
Lowest reported price
The OnePlus 12R was the least expensive listed phone at $599 CAD. That makes it a budget-oriented candidate in this lineup, but the historical roundup alone does not establish how its performance or support compares with other phones at that price.

Largest reported savings
The Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra each carried the largest reported reduction: $400. The S24’s $699 price was the lower-cost way into the listed Samsung flagship line; the S24 Ultra cost substantially more for buyers seeking its larger, higher-end format.
Newer Samsung models
The roundup also included the Galaxy S25 family, with reported savings ranging from $200 to $300 where a price was legible. A newer generation can be attractive to someone who values newer hardware and a longer remaining support period, but the source does not independently compare performance, cameras or software support. The S25+ price is not safe to rely on: the source prints “$1,1899,” and that apparent formatting error cannot be corrected confidently from the roundup.

Pixel choices
The standard Pixel 9 was listed at $949 CAD, while the Pixel 9 Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold occupied progressively more premium positions in the reported lineup. The sale figures distinguish their prices and storage, but do not establish that their cameras or software features make one the best fit for a particular buyer.
Foldables
The Galaxy Z Flip6, Z Fold6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold all appeared in the list. Their reported savings were $200 to $300 against prices ranging from $1,262 to $2,474 CAD. Those discounts may matter to someone specifically seeking a foldable, but the remaining purchase price was high; the roundup provides no comparative evidence on durability or repair costs.

What the historical prices do not tell you
The roundup gives prices and savings, but does not establish the purchase method or listing details for every phone. In particular, it does not confirm whether every offer was an unlocked outright purchase, required carrier activation, came from a Marketplace seller, or involved open-box or refurbished stock. Treat those as product-by-product checks, not assumptions.
- Compare like with like: Match storage, colour, condition and model before comparing a sale price with another listing. New, open-box and refurbished devices are not equivalent.
- Check seller and warranty: Confirm who sells and ships the phone, what warranty applies, and the return terms shown on that listing. Marketplace sellers may have different terms from Best Buy.
- Confirm the buying method: Verify whether the price is for an outright unlocked device or depends on a carrier plan, activation, financing or trade-in. A gift card or lower upfront payment is not the same as an unconditional reduction in the phone’s price.
- Check network compatibility: Confirm the device works with your Canadian carrier and your SIM or eSIM setup; “unlocked” alone does not answer every compatibility question.
- Calculate the total: Account for applicable taxes, shipping and any plan costs or financing commitments. Compare the total cost over the period you expect to keep the phone, not only a monthly payment or advertised saving.
Best Buy Canada’s buying guidance describes outright, postpaid, prepaid, financing, trade-in, open-box and refurbished routes, and recommends checking compatibility and product condition. Its guidance is useful for current purchase decisions, but it does not verify the terms of the expired 2025 promotion: Best Buy Canada’s phone financing and purchasing guide and cell phone buying guide.

Is the sale still available?
No. The promotion covered by the 2025 roundup ended March 31, 2025. The sale name appeared again in a separate Best Buy Canada campaign running February 25 through March 31, 2026, according to its archived promotional email. That later campaign included a mix of unlocked-phone discounts and carrier-plan offers, with its own conditions; it does not extend or validate the 2025 prices. See the archived 2026 campaign email and its unlocked Android offer email for that later campaign’s terms.
Current August 2026 prices for these models are not established by the historical deal reports. To check what is available now, compare live listings at Best Buy Canada’s phone category with manufacturer stores such as Samsung Canada, the Google Store Canada and OnePlus Canada. Verify the final price, seller, condition and purchase requirements on the listing before ordering.
