DSSSB Advertisement No. 06/2025 opened applications on 9 October 2025 at noon and closed on 7 November 2025 at 11:59 p.m. That application window is now closed. The advertised 5,346 vacancies were a tentative combined total for several teaching post categories—not 5,346 TGT subject vacancies alone. For later exam, admit-card, corrigendum or result updates, check the official DSSSB OARS portal and DSSSB notices.
What the 5,346 vacancies covered
DSSSB’s 2025 advertisement listed 5,346 tentative vacancies across teaching posts, including TGT subjects, Drawing Teacher and Special Education Teacher. The notice said the total was based on information from the indenting departments and bodies, so it should not be treated as a final count or as the number of TGT vacancies alone. When registration opened and closed
Online applications were accepted from 9 October 2025, 12 noon, to 7 November 2025, 11:59 p.m. The deadline has passed; candidates cannot use this guide to submit a new application for Advertisement No. 06/2025. The official OARS portal snapshot on 7 October 2026 showed vacancy post codes 805/26 through 808/26, rather than this 2025 TGT application, so check current notices for any later recruitment or updates.
How the 2025 application process worked
The following describes the process in the closed 2025 notice, not a currently available application.

- Check the precise post code. Compare the subject, department, vacancies and recruitment rules in the advertisement before deciding whether to apply.
- Register on the DSSSB online portal. The notice described registration as a one-time exercise. Candidates were to use the same user ID and password for subsequent DSSSB examinations rather than register anew for each one.
- Complete the online form carefully. Applications were accepted online only; applications by post, by hand or by email were not accepted. The notice said submitted particulars, including category, could not be corrected or modified.
- Pay the fee if required. The prescribed channel was SBI e-pay. The fee was non-refundable once paid.
- Submit before the deadline and retain a printout. DSSSB warned that heavy traffic near closing could lead to disconnection or login and submission failures, and advised candidates not to wait until the last day.
The notice also warned that multiple registrations followed by appearing more than once could result in cancellation and debarment. It advised candidates to use an active email address and mobile number and to keep a copy of the submitted application.
Eligibility depended on the post
There was no single qualification rule that applied uniformly to every advertised teaching post. The general criteria required Indian citizenship and compliance with the age, educational and experience requirements set by the user department for the specific post. DSSSB assessed eligibility as of 7 November 2025.
Requirements varied by post code and subject. For example, the Mathematics TGT entry specified subject-related degree routes and teaching qualifications; those requirements should not be assumed to apply to other TGT subjects, Drawing Teacher or Special Education Teacher. Check the exact post entry and applicable recruitment rules in Advertisement No. 06/2025 before relying on a qualification or age rule.
Application fee and exemptions
The fee was ₹100, payable through SBI e-pay. The notice exempted women, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, PwBD and Ex-Serviceman candidates. It specified an exception for Ex-Servicemen who had already obtained regular civil employment with the Central Government, Government of NCT of Delhi, or their autonomous or local bodies after using the re-employment reservation benefit: those candidates were not eligible for the fee concession.

The notified one-tier examination for the listed TGT, Drawing Teacher and Special Education Teacher posts was a two-hour paper of 200 multiple-choice questions, carrying 200 marks. Section A tested general awareness, reasoning, arithmetical and numerical ability, Hindi comprehension and English comprehension, with 20 questions and marks for each area. Section B contained 100 subject-specific questions, including teaching methodology/B.Ed. content.
DSSSB specified a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect MCQ answer. It said combined marks would be used to prepare the final merit list and reserved the right to amend the scheme before the examination. Candidates following the recruitment should therefore check later official notices for any changes.
