NetSuite’s July 15, 2026, NetSuite Next rollout announcement introduces Ask Oracle and other AI capabilities as part of an updated ERP experience—not as a standalone consumer AI product. Ask Oracle is designed to let users ask questions about business data in natural language, generate reports, find insights, navigate records, and handle everyday tasks. Availability depends on the feature and region: NetSuite’s 2026 Release 2 overview says Ask Oracle is available to customers in the United States and Canada, while separate AI features have broader regional availability.

What NetSuite announced

On July 15, 2026, NetSuite’s newsroom listed “NetSuite Next Rollout Begins; Ask Oracle and New AI Capabilities Added to NetSuite.” The announcement describes the goal as helping teams find answers faster, reduce manual effort, and act with more confidence within the system they already use to run their business. It does not publish rollout-specific performance statistics or a named executive quote. NetSuite newsroom

NetSuite Next is the next generation of NetSuite’s ERP experience, combining Ask Oracle, embedded AI, agents, and a redesigned user experience with the existing platform. NetSuite highlights accounting, close management, multi-entity management, metrics and reporting, customer management, and inventory as areas of the product experience. NetSuite’s AI overview

What Ask Oracle and the other AI features do

Ask Oracle

Ask Oracle is a natural-language assistant for working with business information in NetSuite. The 2026 Release 2 overview describes it as able to answer questions about business data, generate reports, surface insights, navigate records, and complete everyday tasks. In practical terms, it is intended to make common ERP actions and information easier to reach through conversational requests, rather than requiring users to find every answer through menus and reports. Embedded AI, agents, and other named features

NetSuite’s materials describe NetSuite Next more broadly as including embedded AI and agents alongside Ask Oracle and the redesigned experience. The August 2026.2 documentation also covers Text Enhance, Prompt Studio, and SuiteScript 2.1 N/llm. These are distinct capabilities, not synonyms for Ask Oracle. The documentation says those three features expanded to all regions where NetSuite is supported; that broader statement does not establish global availability for Ask Oracle. Is NetSuite Next available to your account?

Availability is feature- and region-specific. NetSuite’s 2026 Release 2 overview names the United States and Canada as the markets where Ask Oracle is available, with additional countries coming soon. The August 2026.2 documentation’s all-supported-regions statement applies to Text Enhance, Prompt Studio, and SuiteScript 2.1 N/llm—not Ask Oracle. Confirm the availability of the particular capability in your account with Oracle or NetSuite before planning a rollout.

NetSuite says customers can switch to NetSuite Next without data migration or reimplementation. That does not establish that every account, role, or feature is ready for immediate use; confirm account readiness and feature access with your NetSuite administrator or account contact. How administrators can manage access and review AI-assisted changes

Oracle’s August 2026.2 documentation describes administrator controls for which roles can access Ask Oracle and NetSuite Next. It also describes preview accounts that use copies of NetSuite data, allowing users to explore the AI-powered experience without changing the main account. System Notes can identify record changes made using AI features, including Ask Oracle actions in NetSuite Next and custom tools invoked through the NetSuite AI Connector Service. NetSuite says AI in NetSuite Next respects existing user roles and permissions, and that Ask Oracle cites data sources so users can check and correct answers. These are vendor descriptions of the product; they are not an independent security assessment or a guarantee that generated answers will always be correct. NetSuite’s AI overview

What NetSuite Next costs

NetSuite says NetSuite Next follows the same annual subscription licensing model as NetSuite. The price depends on the core industry platform, optional modules, and number of users; new customers also pay a one-time implementation fee. NetSuite does not publish a universal price for NetSuite Next, so a business would need a quote based on its configuration. NetSuite’s AI overview

What businesses should evaluate before adopting it

For a business already using NetSuite, the practical decision is less about buying a separate AI product and more about whether to introduce the updated experience, which roles should use it, and how to evaluate it safely. A staged review can help surface access, workflow, and regional-availability questions before wider adoption.

  1. Confirm availability: Check whether the specific feature your team wants is enabled for your region and account. Do not assume Ask Oracle is available everywhere because some other AI functions are.
  2. Set role access: Have an administrator determine which roles should be able to access Ask Oracle and NetSuite Next.
  3. Evaluate with a preview account: Where available, use the documented preview account with copied data to explore the experience without affecting the main account.
  4. Review records and workflows: Identify the kinds of AI-assisted changes your team expects, and use System Notes to review recorded changes where applicable.
  5. Plan implementation and integration needs: Businesses adding modules, custom workflows, or SuiteCloud integrations should assess the configuration and implementation work those choices require.

NetSuite Next is an ERP experience update with AI features, not a separately priced consumer assistant. Its usefulness and readiness depend on the functions available to a particular customer, the roles administrators authorize, and the workflows the business intends to support.
