How large is the corrugated box market?
There is no single audited global market value established by the public figures reviewed here. The estimates below come from commercial research publishers and should be read as separate forecasts, not averaged into one market size. “Corrugated carton,” “corrugated box” and “corrugated box packaging” may not describe identical product scopes.

The 360iResearch estimate is the newest listed forecast here with a 2032 endpoint. It is a commercial model, not an official census of industry shipments. The 2025 estimates from 360iResearch and Fortune Business Insights are relatively close, while the other listed estimates differ more. Those differences cannot be reconciled from the public summaries: their underlying definitions, scope and modeling details are not sufficiently exposed to establish that they measure the same market.
When comparing a forecast, check its label, base year, included products, geographic coverage, currency treatment, and endpoint. A 2034 estimate is not directly comparable to a 2032 estimate simply because both concern corrugated packaging.

Which regions account for the largest market estimates?
In Fortune Business Insights’ 2025 corrugated-carton revenue series, Asia Pacific is largest, followed by Europe and North America. These figures are publisher estimates of revenue, not association shipment totals.

For its 2026 series, Fortune Business Insights estimates USD 75.24 billion for Asia Pacific, USD 50.76 billion for Europe and USD 37.22 billion for North America. These are the same publisher’s subsequent-year estimates, not observed shipment data.

What is driving demand, and which segments matter?
Commercial market reports identify food and beverage, e-commerce fulfillment, retail distribution and industrial logistics as important corrugated packaging contexts. Fortune Business Insights describes food and beverage as its largest end-use segment and e-commerce as another leading segment. VPA Research lists e-commerce fulfillment, retail-ready packaging and industrial logistics among the market drivers. These are publisher-reported segment findings and drivers; they do not quantify how much any one use contributes to market growth.

The Fibre Box Association’s U.S. report takes a different angle, covering box-consuming markets such as meat and poultry, produce, dairy, cereals, beverages, other food products, durables and non-durables. It aligns those markets with NAICS-based shipment reporting and six FBA reporting areas. The report is produced for FBA by Richard Storat and Associates, appears twice yearly, and is limited to member companies; only its July/August edition includes a corrugated shipment outlook.

Revenue estimates from market-research publishers answer a different question from production and shipment statistics. The International Corrugated Case Association (ICCA) says it gathers, compiles and distributes corrugated shipment and production data, describing it as “the most authoritative reflection of worldwide corrugated industry data.” That is ICCA’s institutional description, not independent validation of any particular market-revenue estimate.

ICCA says quarterly country- and region-specific production and shipment reports are available to members, while annual data released publicly is available only by continent. The association also says it funds worldwide and regional forecasts, but the underlying figures and forecast were not available on its public page. A reader needing country-level operational comparisons should consult the relevant ICCA data product and identify the edition used, rather than treating commercial revenue forecasts as shipment statistics.
