Costco Mini Beignets Filled with Caramel, item 1181272, were recalled after some packages labeled caramel-filled were reported to contain Chocolate Hazelnut filling without declaring hazelnut. The concern is an undeclared allergen—not a general quality issue. If you have a hazelnut or filbert allergy or severe sensitivity, do not open or eat the product.

Which Costco beignets were recalled?

The affected product is Mini Beignets Filled with Caramel, Costco item 1181272, according to Good Housekeeping’s February 2, 2026 report. The reported problem is that some packages labeled as caramel-filled contained Chocolate Hazelnut filling, but the label did not identify hazelnut. Hawai‘i’s Department of Health confirmed that the recalled product contained undeclared hazelnuts and filberts in its February 5, 2026 notice.

When and where were the beignets sold?

Good Housekeeping reports that affected products were sold at select Costco clubs from January 16 through January 30, 2026, and lists 22 states. Hawai‘i’s Department of Health separately says the product was distributed to Costco locations throughout Hawai‘i. The state notice does not provide a complete national state list or a national sales window, so the broader distribution details come from Good Housekeeping’s report.

What should you do if you have the product?

  • If you have a hazelnut or filbert allergy or severe sensitivity, do not open or eat the beignets.
  • Return the affected product to Costco for a full refund, as advised by Hawai‘i’s Department of Health.
  • If someone with an allergy or severe sensitivity has eaten the product or been exposed to it, notify their healthcare provider.
  • If signs of anaphylaxis occur, administer an epinephrine auto-injector and call 911, according to the state notice.

What is known about reported reactions?

In its release dated February 5, 2026, Hawai‘i’s Department of Health stated: “To date, there have been no reports of illness or adverse events attributed to the recalled product.” That is the agency’s report as of that date, not a current count. The notice does not state how many packages were distributed or quantify the health risk.

Why may the notice be difficult to find on Costco’s site?

Costco’s recall page is dynamic. When checked October 8, 2026, it did not show the Mini Beignets notice in its current list. Costco says the page covers current notices and points readers to an archive for older ones: Costco recalls.
