It combines live sports, local broadcast stations, news, entertainment channels and on-demand content in an online subscription.
Its strongest selling point is sports coverage, but the price can be higher than the advertised plan rate once you account for regular pricing, taxes and—where applicable—a regional sports fee. Channel availability also depends on your ZIP code, plan and local broadcast rights.
What is Fubo?
Fubo lets you watch live television through a web browser, smart TV, streaming device, phone or tablet. You subscribe online and use the Fubo app instead of paying for a traditional cable or satellite package.
The service is particularly focused on live sports. Depending on your plan and location, Fubo may carry ESPN, NFL Network, MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, Formula 1, La Liga, Bundesliga and regional sports networks. It also offers local broadcast stations, news, entertainment and on-demand programming.

How much does Fubo cost?
Fubo’s U.S. pricing changes by plan, promotion and billing schedule. The current plan listings show these principal options:
| Plan | First-month promotion | Regular price | Channels | Notable features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sports + News | $45.99 | $55.99/month | 28 | ABC, CBS, FOX, ESPN Unlimited and unlimited Cloud DVR |
| Pro | $54.99 | $84.99/month | 210 | Local NBA, NHL and MLB games, ESPN Unlimited and unlimited Cloud DVR |
| Elite | $64.99 | $94.99/month | 274 | Pro features plus 4K |
| Deluxe | $84.99 | $114.99/month | 299 | Sports Plus with NFL RedZone, MGM+, International Sports Plus and 4K |
| Latino | $9.99 | $14.99/month | 56 | Spanish-language programming and up to two simultaneous streams |
These promotional prices apply only for the stated introductory period. After that, the subscription generally renews at the regular rate shown by Fubo. Taxes, fees and regional restrictions may also affect the final bill.
Quarterly billing
Some plans are offered quarterly rather than month to month. For example, Fubo lists Pro Quarterly at an average of $74.99 per month for the first three months, charged as one $224.97 payment. It then moves to an $84.99-per-month equivalent. Elite Quarterly is listed at $254.97 for the first three months—an average of $84.99 per month—before moving to a $94.99-per-month equivalent.

Quarterly billing reduces the flexibility of paying one month at a time, so check the total charge and renewal terms before choosing it.
The regional sports fee
Subscribers who receive regional sports coverage may pay a separate Regional Sports Fee of up to $16.99 per month, depending on location. The fee cannot be removed while the account remains on a plan that includes regional sports programming. Roku-billed subscribers are charged a $16 monthly regional sports fee when applicable.
For a realistic budget, compare the post-promotion plan price, applicable sports fee and taxes—not just the introductory figure.

What channels does Fubo have?
The lineup varies by plan and ZIP code. Channels listed by Fubo include:
- ABC, CBS and FOX
- ESPN and NFL Network
- FX and Nickelodeon
- ACC Network and beIN Sports
- Regional sports networks
- News and entertainment channels
- Spanish-language channels on Latino plans
To check a specific channel, use Fubo’s official channel search. You can search for an individual network or enter a plan or add-on name such as Elite or Sports Plus. Search results can include plans that are no longer open to new subscribers, so the live plan-selection page is the final check before signing up.
Local channels
Fubo carries local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and CW stations in many markets. Selected areas may also receive MyNetworkTV, Telemundo and independent local stations. Availability is determined by your ZIP code and broadcast market.
Local stations are generally included with English-language plans such as Pro, Elite and Deluxe, but they are not available everywhere. Telemundo is included with the Latino plan.
In some areas, Fubo supplies a national network feed instead of a local affiliate. FOXNET is a national FOX feed, and NFL programming is not currently available through FOXNET. Fubo also lists national ABC and CBS feeds adjusted for different time zones.

Your access may be affected by local station availability, national broadcast rights and blackouts. In particular, NFL games are not currently available on Fubo’s national FOXNET feed. Check the local-channel listing for your ZIP code before choosing Fubo specifically for football.
Does Fubo carry regional sports networks?
Yes, but regional sports availability depends on your market. Fubo uses the account’s home ZIP code to determine local channels and regional sports networks.
A game can still be blacked out even when the relevant network appears in your package. Fubo’s Game Finder lets you enter your ZIP code and check where a particular game is available.
Does Fubo offer a free trial?
Some Fubo plans include a free trial, but there is no single trial length that applies to every subscriber. Fubo says the length varies by plan and offer, and some plans may not offer a trial. Promotional pages have shown trials ranging from one day to five days.
The checkout screen displays the exact trial end date and time. A payment card is required, and the subscription automatically changes to a paid plan when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Free trials are generally limited to new customers, so former subscribers should not assume they qualify.
If you sign up directly through Fubo and cancel during the trial, access ends immediately—you do not normally retain the unused trial time. Fubo also says it will not provide another free trial. A temporary $1 authorization may appear during signup; Fubo says it is a card-validation charge that is automatically refunded within seven to 10 business days.

Is Fubo worth the cost?
Fubo can make financial sense for a household that regularly watches the sports and local channels included in its ZIP-code-specific lineup. Unlimited DVR and generous simultaneous-stream limits may also reduce the need for separate subscriptions in a larger household.
It is less compelling if you mainly watch on-demand shows, need one particular local station that Fubo does not carry, or are comparing only the introductory price. The regular Pro, Elite and Deluxe rates are substantial, and a regional sports fee can add up to $16.99 per month. Before subscribing, verify five things:
- The regular price after the promotion.
- Your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC availability.
- Whether the regional sports fee applies.
- Which plan or add-on carries the games and networks you watch.
- The trial end date and cancellation method.
Fubo’s own plan page, channel lookup and Game Finder are more reliable than an older channel list or a generic free-trial claim.
