Forbes’ real-time profile estimated Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and his family’s net worth at $11.7 billion on October 7, 2026. That is a family-labelled estimate, not a verified statement of Charoen’s personal assets. Forbes’ separate 2026 Thailand rich-list estimate was $11.5 billion.
How Forbes’ net worth estimates differ
The two 2026 figures reflect different valuation snapshots and formats. Forbes’ profile labels $11.7 billion as real-time net worth and dates it October 7, 2026; the page displayed a world rank of 293. Its 2026 Thailand annual list put the family’s wealth at $11.5 billion. A live estimate can change with market prices and exchange rates, while an annual list is a dated ranking estimate. The figures should not be treated as contradictory or interchangeable.

Forbes’ 2026 annual-list report described the $11.5 billion estimate as up 10% and associated the change with a Frasers Property portfolio revamp. That annual figure is not an asset-by-asset explanation of the separate $11.7 billion live estimate. The Forbes profile’s biographical and business information was last updated July 8, 2026, even though its live wealth field carries the later October 7 date.
What businesses underpin the estimate?
Forbes identifies Thai Beverage as a principal business, describing it as Thailand’s largest beverage producer and distributor by revenue and noting its Chang beer brand. Its profile also names Singapore beverage company Fraser & Neave, Frasers Property, Big C Supercenter and listed property company Asset World among Charoen’s major interests. Asset World was listed in October 2019, and Forbes says he retained a majority stake.

These are business interests, not a simple list of personally owned assets that can be added together to reproduce a net-worth total. Ownership is held through corporate entities, and companies’ market values are not the same as an individual’s net worth.
Why corporate ownership figures do not equal personal net worth
Fraser & Neave’s 2024 annual report illustrates the complexity. After a share swap completed on September 20, 2024, InterBev Investment held about 69.64% of F&N shares and TCC Assets held about 17.61%. The report also recorded Charoen’s deemed interest in F&N as 87.31% at the relevant reporting date. Those are dated corporate ownership disclosures involving direct and deemed interests; they are not a personal balance sheet and should not be added to the values of other companies.
Rank #2
In July 2024, Forbes reported that the proposed transaction involved Thai Beverage exchanging property exposure for greater F&N exposure, while TCC Assets increased its Frasers Property stake. Thai Beverage group CFO Prapakon Thongtheppairot described the company’s stated aim as to “entrench our position as a stable and sustainable ASEAN leader and cement our pure-play status by exiting the property business.” That was a corporate strategy statement, not an explanation of Forbes’ wealth calculation.

Forbes’ $11.7 billion figure is the latest dated number displayed in the profile, but the sources do not provide a complete asset-by-asset reconstruction, consolidated liabilities, assumptions for private assets, or a verified personal financial statement. Forbes also reported that Charoen transferred shares in key companies to his five children in 2025, but the profile does not quantify how those transfers affected the current estimate. The most accurate description is therefore Forbes’ estimated net worth for Charoen and family as of October 7, 2026—not a precise measure of Charoen’s individual cash or assets.
