Canteen Pizza’s new south-of-the-river venue was reported at 32 Ardross Street, Applecross, opposite the Good Grocer IGA. Its former Cottesloe restaurant was at 110 Marine Parade. The relocation was reported in March 2023 and later supported by venue-directory and operator-group listings.
Where did Canteen Pizza move?
Canteen Pizza moved from Cottesloe to Applecross, at 32 Ardross Street, according to PerthNow’s 10 March 2023 report. The reported site is opposite the Good Grocer IGA. The former Cottesloe location was 110 Marine Parade.
A later Broadsheet directory entry, updated 27 February 2026, identifies the Cottesloe listing as permanently closed and says the restaurant relocated to 32 Ardross Street. Ocean Group’s venue page also describes Canteen’s Applecross location.
What happened to the Cottesloe venue?
Canteen Pizza opened in Cottesloe in 2017, according to a statement from the restaurant quoted in PerthNow. On 4 March 2023, the team said redevelopment had arrived and invited customers to follow updates about pop-ups and its new Applecross venue. PerthNow reported the Marine Parade location had closed by 10 March.

The team described the Cottesloe restaurant as having begun as a pop-up while it waited for a new building. Its statement said: “When Canteen Pizza opened in Cottesloe in 2017, the plan was to run a little pop-up until we opened a brand-new, beachy iteration in a new building. Five and a half years later… it’s been pizza, wine, and a real good time,”
Was the Applecross opening date confirmed?
No confirmed opening date from Canteen Pizza is established in the available reporting. “Early May” was an estimate offered to PerthNow by Julia Buri, then owner of neighbouring Crumbs Patisserie—not an official date announced by the restaurant.

Buri welcomed the proposed venue, saying: “This is what the strip needs and what the community need. We need a little bit more nightlife and I think it’ll make a perfect addition to the area.”

Relocation sources point to Applecross, but current operating details should be verified before travelling. Canteen Pizza’s official website search result still displays its former 110 Marine Parade address, which conflicts with the later relocation records. Do not rely on that result alone for the current address, opening hours, bookings, or takeaway availability.
