What experience does Jacobs bring?
Jacobs had spent roughly a decade leading Canon’s Imaging Technologies and Communications Group (ITCG) business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). Canon’s announcement says he led the integration of regional ITCG businesses in 2016 and contributed to the wider ITCG offering, particularly cameras and inkjet printing devices. He had also held the UK & Ireland ITCG country-director role in 2014.

In a 2025 LinkedIn post, Jacobs said he began his Canon career in Germany in 1995 in Fax Product Management. He described working across Canon Germany, Amstelveen, the DACH region and the UK, including earlier roles as UK ITCG marketing director, sales director and country director. His post marked 30 years with Canon in 2025.
