No—Roblox Gift Cards do not expire under Roblox’s U.S. terms, and they have no inactivity, maintenance, or service fees. That applies to an unused card; once redeemed, its value is stored as Roblox Credit on the account. Roblox’s U.S. terms were last updated April 30, 2026. If your card was issued elsewhere, check the terms for that market.
What Roblox’s U.S. terms say
Roblox’s U.S. Terms and Conditions state in section 6, “Expiration/Deactivation,” that “Cards do not expire.” The same terms say no inactivity, maintenance, or service fees apply. Roblox’s Gift Card FAQ also says Roblox Gift Cards do not expire. The quoted terms apply to the U.S. market; Roblox’s terms may differ in other countries.
No expiration does not guarantee that Roblox will replace a card or its value. The U.S. terms say lost, damaged, stolen, or unauthorized-used card values will not be replaced or replenished. They also allow Roblox to refuse to honor a card in cases including payment disputes, bounced checks, or suspected fraud. Read the U.S. gift card terms for the full conditions.
What happens after you redeem a card
A Roblox Gift Card adds Roblox Credit to the account where it is redeemed. Roblox says the credit can be used for Robux and other Roblox services it designates. A card must be redeemed in full; Roblox’s U.S. terms say cards cannot be partially redeemed, refunded, or reloaded. They generally cannot be exchanged for cash unless the law requires it.

Not every code adds Roblox Credit
Roblox distinguishes gift cards that load Roblox Credit from some retailer codes that provide Robux directly. Its support guidance says Amazon Gift Cards and Party Packs Gift Cards are Robux-only and do not become Roblox Credit. Check the exact card or code listing to confirm what it provides.
Standard Roblox mobile apps and consoles do not support gift card redemption. Roblox’s FAQ identifies Samsung Galaxy users as an app-based exception. If a code is rejected, check for look-alike characters; if it still will not redeem, contact Roblox Support.

If your card is from outside the United States
The no-expiration answer is supported by Roblox’s U.S. terms and its general FAQ, but this is not a country-by-country review. For a card issued outside the U.S., check the terms that apply to its market, especially if you need to confirm fees, redemption conditions, or other local rules.
