These were tentative figures in the notice, not guaranteed final totals. CISF said vacancies could increase or decrease for administrative reasons and that changes would be published on its recruitment website before final results. The notice also included category-wise figures and an ESM-reservation column.
Application deadline and status
The application period was February 3 through March 4, 2025. The closing time was 23:59 on March 4, and the deadline has passed. The contemporaneous Scroll report published on February 3, 2025 also stated that applications were available through the official recruitment website until March 4.

Who was eligible under the notice
The headline criteria included male Indian citizenship, an age of 21 to 27 years as of March 4, 2025, and Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board. Candidates also needed valid driving licences for heavy motor vehicles, light motor vehicles, and motorcycles with gear, along with three years of driving experience.
The notice specified how driving experience was calculated and used the application closing date as the relevant cut-off. Age concessions, category-specific provisions, documentation and edge cases depend on the detailed notice; a short summary cannot determine an individual candidate’s eligibility. How the application worked
Applications were accepted online through the CISF recruitment website. A candidate could use one application to indicate preferences for both posts. The notice said the first and second preferences became final after submission and could not be corrected or modified afterward.
For the 2025 process, the contemporaneous report stated an application fee of ₹100 for UR, EWS and OBC candidates, with exemptions for SC/ST/ESM candidates. The notification’s fee and exemption provisions are controlling, including any conditions attached to an exemption.
Selection stages and exam order
The selection process listed physical tests, documentation and a trade test; a written examination; and a detailed medical examination or review medical examination. The notice allowed the order of the first combined stage and written examination to be interchanged for administrative reasons.
Physical tests, documents and trade test
The initial combined stage covered the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), documentation and trade test. Candidates had to qualify in the applicable requirements to proceed in the selection process.
Written examination
The written examination was to be conducted in OMR or computer-based mode and offered bilingually in Hindi and English. Final selection was to be based on written-examination performance among candidates who qualified through the other required stages.
