What TWC Japan sells and what it claims
TWC’s Japanese catalogue lists new and pre-owned watches across brands including Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, IWC, Patek Philippe, Tudor, Cartier, Hamilton, and Grand Seiko. Its live catalogue has included pre-owned Rolex Explorer II 216570 listings, but inventory and prices change. TWC says the stock is shared between its Nakano Sun Mall shop and online store, so an item can sell in person before an online order is fulfilled. Confirm that the specific watch is still available. TWC’s English site says it sells online internationally, insures shipments, uses listing images of the actual watch, and guarantees authenticity. Its About Us page says products are inspected and sourced worldwide and that multilingual staff can assist with specific model searches. Is TWC Japan legitimate, and are its watches authentic?
TWC presents itself as a retailer with a physical shop in Nakano Sun Mall and an online store, and it says it guarantees authenticity. That provides a clear basis for assessing its offer, but the claims come from TWC itself; the available sources do not establish independent authentication of any specific listing. Treat “authenticity guaranteed” as the retailer’s commitment, not a substitute for checking the exact watch, its condition, documentation, and recourse if there is a problem.

TWC says its watches are parallel imports. A parallel import is sold outside the manufacturer’s authorized distribution channel for the destination market; do not assume that the manufacturer warranty or local retailer protections will match those for a watch bought from an authorized local dealer. Check the exact watch and its availability
Before checkout, compare the listing against the watch you intend to buy. Ask TWC to confirm in writing that the pictured watch is the one it will ship, that the listing’s reference number and condition are accurate, and which accessories are included. For pre-owned watches, make sure you understand what the listing says about the individual watch rather than relying on a brand or model description alone.
- Reference number and listed condition
- Whether the watch is new or pre-owned, and whether the photos show the actual item
- Included box, papers, warranty cards, and other accessories
- Current availability and whether the item is being held for your order
- Final price and any shipping terms that apply to your destination
Because the shop and online inventory are shared, ask about availability before committing rather than treating a live listing as a reservation. TWC policy

Understand the warranty before paying
TWC’s published policy lists a one-year shop warranty for new products and a three-month shop warranty for second-hand products. TWC says coverage is limited to technical fees during the warranty period, requires the actual manufacturer warranty card along with its shop warranty card, and excludes cases including misuse, external damage, and unauthorized work. Ask which cards accompany the specific watch, what work the warranty covers, and how you would arrange service. TWC policy

Do not assume a manufacturer warranty will be usable where you live. The Japan Clock & Watch Association explains that warranty conditions vary by product, manufacturer, and retailer; it says an international warranty is valid only in designated countries and recommends confirming those countries before purchase. Its guidance concerns its members and their products, not a ruling on TWC’s policy. Ask the manufacturer or warranty issuer whether your country is covered and whether service is available there. Know the return rules for international orders
TWC’s published policy says international orders cannot be returned or exchanged after purchase. For an international order that is defective or incorrect, it asks buyers to contact the retailer within one day after delivery. If you buy, keep the listing and order details and inspect the watch promptly when it arrives so you can act within that window. TWC policy

The policy’s domestic online return terms are also limited: they require prompt contact and impose condition and accessory requirements and other exclusions. If you are buying from within Japan, read those terms before checkout rather than assuming a general change-of-mind return is available. TWC policy

TWC says its listed prices do not include import taxes and that buyers are responsible for applicable taxes and duties. The amount depends on the destination and order, so the listed price alone is not the full cost of an international purchase. If you are visiting Japan, verify tax-free eligibility
TWC’s tax-free page is addressed to foreign visitors to Japan and says Japanese nationals residing overseas are not eligible. TWC’s overview also advertises an 8% tax-free price benefit, but that figure should not be treated as a universal discount or assumed to apply to every buyer or purchase. Compare listings on more than price
For two watches with similar headline prices, compare the details that affect what you receive and what happens if something goes wrong:
- Exact reference number and condition
- Included box, papers, and accessories
- Warranty issuer, coverage, and geographic validity
- Return rights for your order type and destination
- Shipping, applicable import charges, and total delivered cost
- How the seller handles service or a problem after delivery
A lower listed price may not be the better purchase if it comes with different documentation, less useful warranty coverage, no international return option, or higher costs at import. No general Japan-market discount or investment return can be established from the retailer’s promotional claims alone.
