How candidates checked the CTET July 2024 city slip
In its June 25, 2024 report, India Today said registered candidates could view the city information through the official CTET website. The reported steps at the time were:
- Visit the CTET official website.
- Select “View Centre City for CTET July 2024.”
- Enter the application number, date of birth and security pin to view the allotted city.
Those details describe the historical process reported in 2024. The CTET archives contain the July 2024 bulletin and later records, but do not establish that the candidate-specific city-slip login is still available.
What the city intimation did—and did not—tell candidates
The city information helped candidates plan if their allotted exam location was in a different city or state. It was not a substitute for the official e-admit card and exam instructions, which candidates needed to consult for attendance and exam-day details. The CTET July 2024 Information Bulletin included a separate section on the e-admit card.

CTET July 2024 exam date and schedule
The CBSE bulletin scheduled the examination for July 7, 2024. Paper II was set for 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and Paper I for 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; each paper lasted two and a half hours. These dates and times are historical schedule details.
India Today reported that the examination covered 20 languages and 136 cities. It described Paper I as intended for aspiring teachers of Classes 1–5 and Paper II for Classes 6–8.

Passing CTET does not by itself guarantee recruitment or employment. The CBSE CTET July 2024 Information Bulletin states: “Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment/Employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.”
