That is not enough evidence to call it a scam—or to treat its success claims as proven. Before paying or submitting a script, get the terms in writing and verify exactly what the service provides.
What Call Sheet Media says it offers
Call Sheet Media’s official website describes screenplay development and mentorship for people with movie or series ideas. It says it helps writers strengthen scripts and prepare industry-facing materials, including project positioning, press, eligible IMDb support, cinematic marketing assets, and strategic presentation materials. The company describes its aim this way: “This is where scripts and screen ideas become industry-ready projects.” These are descriptions of the company’s own offer, not independent evidence that clients receive particular results.
The website lists a Hollywood address at 1800 Vine Street, Hollywood, California 90028, along with a New York location called Central Park Studios, a London location called Brighton Studios, an email address, and a phone number. A public website and listed contact details establish a public-facing presence; they do not, on their own, establish service quality, reliability, or outcomes.
What is known about its deal and success claims?
Call Sheet Media’s company-written Trustpilot profile says it selects 5–7 people every six months, provides mentorship from industry professionals including producers and Michigan State University instructors, and that every graduate secured a movie deal or option agreement. Those are company claims; no independently audited outcome data is provided in the sources reviewed.

A TechBullion article by Ethan Lee, published December 10, 2024, reports a 100% success rate among selected participants and says nine people had received an option or sale contract. The article also reports an interview fee refundable under specified circumstances. Its claims are not independently substantiated in the material available, so they should not be read as verified statistics or as a substitute for the current contract.
No independent study or audited dataset confirming Call Sheet Media’s success rate was identified. A deal or option claim is worth treating as a question to verify, not as a guarantee of what a new client can expect.

What do reviews and user reports establish?
When accessed in 2026, Trustpilot showed 43 reviews and a visible score of 4.6, while its TrustScore badge displayed 4.5. The profile also says Call Sheet Media has not recently invited customers to review and cautions that reviews may not be representative. Reviews include positive accounts of mentors, feedback, and coursework, as well as a two-star review. They are individual reports, not an audit of deal outcomes.
A Reddit discussion contains both critical allegations and positive participant accounts. Criticisms raise questions about interview-fee amounts, refund expectations, urgency in communications, addresses, credit disclosure, and the university relationship. Positive accounts describe useful script coverage, mentorship, and coursework. These reports conflict and are self-reported; neither the thread nor any one post establishes fraud or proves success.

The company’s profile refers to Michigan State University instructors, a Reddit participant questions whether the described partnership can be confirmed, and Trustpilot reviewers refer to an MSU course. The sources reviewed do not establish the university’s formal role or endorsement. Ask the named institution or partner to confirm the specific relationship being represented.
What to check before paying or sharing a script
Ask for the complete, current agreement before paying or submitting work. Check that the answers are written into the contract or confirmed in writing by the company, not left as verbal assurances.

- Total cost: What is the full price, and what does each fee buy? Ask whether any further purchases after acceptance are optional or required.
- Refund rules: Is an interview, course, coverage, or mentorship fee refundable? What exact event triggers a refund, how must you request it, and what is the deadline?
- Outcome conditions: If a refund or outcome promise refers to an option, does an option from an affiliated person or entity count? Get the definition and conditions in writing.
- Your rights: Who owns your screenplay? Does submitting it grant the company or anyone else a license or other rights? Have the language reviewed if you do not understand it.
- Deliverables and timeline: What will you receive, by when, and how many rounds of feedback are included? Ask what “industry access,” a database listing, or a submission actually means in practice.
- Mentor credentials: Who will work with you? Request the mentor’s name, relevant experience in your genre, and credits you can independently verify.
- Partner relationships: Ask whether any claimed university or industry relationship is formal and current, and seek confirmation from the named institution or partner.
The Reddit allegations do not establish the company’s current contract, but they make it particularly important to verify fees and refund conditions rather than relying on a general description or an older article.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to make a cautious decision
Decide based on the written offer, not on a star rating or a headline success rate. Compare the service’s total cost, refund terms, script-rights provisions, named mentor credentials, specific deliverables, and independently verifiable track record. If any key answer is missing, changes under pressure, or cannot be confirmed, pause before paying or sharing your work.
Best Value
If you cannot verify the terms or are uncomfortable with them, you can decline and pursue script development through another route. The sources reviewed do not establish sufficiently verified competing services for a reliable head-to-head recommendation, so apply the same checks to any alternative you consider.
