UMarkets Review: Features and Ratings

UMarkets offers Forex, CFDs, shares, indices, commodities and crypto through XCritical, but FCA and CNMV warnings plus restrictive withdrawal and bonus terms make it a high-risk choice.

UMarkets is not a broker I would recommend to retail investors. The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) lists UMARKETS as an unauthorised firm targeting UK consumers, while Spain’s CNMV has included the current umarkets.net domain in a warning compilation concerning unregistered entities.

The website offers a broad menu of Forex, CFDs, shares, indices, commodities and cryptocurrency products. It also advertises XCritical trading software, leverage of up to 1:200 and a 30% welcome bonus. Those headline features are outweighed by the firm’s regulatory status and by contractual terms covering withdrawals, bonuses, account fees, trade reversals and client funds.

This review examines the current website and legal documents checked on August 8, 2026. The conclusion is straightforward: UMarkets should not be treated as a regulated, mainstream broker.

UMarkets rating

Category Assessment
Regulatory standing Very poor
Platform choice Limited and unclear
Product range Broad on paper
Pricing transparency Poor
Withdrawal conditions High risk
Bonus terms Highly restrictive
Public customer ratings Poor, but based on a small sample
Overall verdict Do not recommend

Is UMarkets regulated?

No. UMarkets should not be described as FCA-regulated, UK-authorised, EU-regulated or covered by UK investor-protection schemes.

#1 Best Overall
4X Trading Journal for Day Traders | Trade Log Book for Stocks, Forex, Options, Crypto | 12 Week Plan with 80 Trades | Trading Accessories | Neuroscience Based with Guided Trading Plan | Traders Gift
  • BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
  • THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
  • NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
  • RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
  • BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.

The FCA warning for UMARKETS was first published on July 31, 2020. It identifies the firm as unauthorised and says it was targeting UK consumers. The warning refers to historical domains including umarkets.com and umarkets.org, along with contact details in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The current website, umarkets.net, also appears in a CNMV warning compilation dated October 25, 2023. That compilation includes the domain among entities reported by Portugal’s CMVM in connection with unregistered institutions.

The site references GFiRC and the International Financial Market Relations Regulation Center (IFMRRC), including certificate number 0395 AA V0155. These references are not equivalent to authorisation by the FCA, the European Securities and Markets Authority, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, ASIC or another major statutory regulator. The website’s own risk disclosure says that ESMA intervention measures do not apply to TS Software Ltd customers.

That distinction matters. According to the FCA, customers dealing with UMARKETS would not have access to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. There is therefore no basis for presenting UMarkets as offering standard UK regulatory protection.

Who operates UMarkets?

The current website identifies TS Software Ltd on several pages. It gives an address at Trust Company Complex, Ajeltake Road, Majuro, Marshall Islands, and registration number 103490. The footer’s company wording is rendered incompletely or incorrectly in the accessible site HTML, which makes the legal identity harder to verify from the website alone.

The About Us page says UMarkets was established in 2008 and operates globally. Those are claims made by the company, not independent confirmation of its history, scale or regulatory standing.

What can you trade?

UMarkets lists five main instrument categories:

  • Shares
  • Indices
  • Commodities
  • Forex
  • Cryptocurrency

The shares section includes well-known names such as Apple, Amazon, AMD, Microsoft, Tesla, Nvidia and Visa. However, the terms describe access to complex derivatives traded on margin, including CFDs and foreign exchange. The product list does not demonstrate that customers buy and hold the underlying shares.

That is an important difference. A CFD position on Tesla is not the same as owning Tesla stock: the trader is speculating on price movement, usually with leverage, and remains exposed to the broker’s execution, margin and contractual rules.

Platforms: XCritical rather than MT4 or MT5

The current website promotes:

  • XCritical Online Platform
  • xCritical Trading Application
  • FX Helper

The online platform is advertised as supporting 180 financial instruments, instant order execution, trading signals, strategies and Autochartist analysis. The site also claims that “8 out of 10” traders choose it, but that marketing statement is not independently substantiated.

The mobile application is described as allowing users to view open positions and trading history, switch between accounts, receive push notifications and contact support through an in-app chat. The stated server ID for mobile authorisation is 4730.

Current UMarkets pages do not present MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 as the main platforms. Reviews describing UMarkets as an MT4/MT5 broker may be relying on outdated material, a different domain or a different company.

Spreads, leverage and advertised costs

The homepage currently advertises:

  • 30% welcome bonus
  • 1.6 spread on EUR/USD
  • Leverage of 1:200
  • 0% fees on deposits
  • 24/5 customer support

These are headline figures, not guaranteed costs for every account or instrument. The separate spread table shows that leverage varies by product. Examples include:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Product group Displayed leverage examples
Major indices Generally 1:50
Many commodities Often 1:200
Shares Generally 1:20
Bitcoin 1:20
Several other cryptocurrencies 1:50

The website’s trading article says the platform automatically provides 1:200 leverage, but that should not be read as applying to every instrument. The spread table is more specific and shows product-level differences.

There is also a transparency concern: some material charges and restrictions are not prominent in the headline pricing. They appear in the legal terms, particularly around withdrawals, inactivity and bonuses.

Account types and minimum deposits

The indexed account page lists four account categories. The figures below should be treated as a snapshot rather than permanent pricing because the legal documents allow the company to change account conditions.

Account Minimum deposit Minimum deal
Mini Forex $500 $10,000
Standard Forex $5,000 $10,000
Gold Forex $10,000 $50,000
Platinum Forex $35,000 $150,000

An Islamic account is stated to be available under any of the four account categories. Even the entry-level $500 minimum is substantial for a broker that does not have mainstream regulatory authorisation.

Withdrawal rules and account charges

UMarkets’ terms contain several conditions that a prospective customer should read before depositing money:

  1. The minimum withdrawal amount is $50.
  2. Withdrawals are generally made through the same method used for the deposit, unless the company agrees otherwise.
  3. The company may impose withdrawal limits for a period of time.
  4. Additional identity and anti-money-laundering documents may be required.
  5. If fewer than five independent trades have been made, the company may charge a fee equal to 5% of the withdrawal amount.
  6. After 90 consecutive calendar days without trading activity, the company reserves the right to charge an account-maintenance fee of 5% of the account balance per month, beginning on the 91st day.
  7. Funds may be held until tax documents are submitted where the company considers them necessary under the customer’s jurisdiction.

The terms also state that deposited funds may not be segregated from the company’s own funds or from other customers’ funds. That is materially different from the client-money segregation arrangements commonly associated with strongly regulated brokers.

“0% fees on deposits” therefore does not mean that using the account is cost-free or that withdrawing money will be straightforward.

The 30% bonus is not free cash

UMarkets advertises a 30% welcome bonus, but its terms impose unusually large trading-volume requirements. For each $1,000 of bonus, the required volume is:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Total bonus Required trading volume per $1,000 bonus
Up to $10,000 $10,000,000
More than $10,000 and up to $30,000 $20,000,000
Above $30,000 $30,000,000

For example, a customer receiving a $1,000 bonus could be required to trade $10 million in volume before the bonus conditions are met. Trades involving scalping, mixed trades or positions held for less than three minutes do not count toward the required volume.

The terms prohibit withdrawing the bonus and trading income until the required volume has been completed. If a customer withdraws before completing the conditions, UMarkets says it may close open positions and deduct the bonus and certain profits from the account balance. The company can also cancel or change the bonus programme.

This should not be described as immediately withdrawable money. Bonuses tied to this type of turnover requirement can encourage excessive trading and make account withdrawals more complicated.

Other contractual risks

The terms give UMarkets broad discretion in several situations. The company says it may:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Terminate access if the customer breaches the agreement, refuses requested information or has insufficient funds for more than one calendar month.
  • Close, cancel or reverse trades it considers to have breached the agreement.
  • Cancel or roll back trades executed at prices it considers inaccurate because of programming errors, glitches or mispricing.
  • Change stop-out levels without notice because of market conditions.

The default stop-out level is stated as 50% for Mini and Standard accounts and 80% for Gold and Platinum accounts. The web platform’s default stop-out level is stated as 0%, although the company reserves the right to change it.

On the standard web platform, positions may be kept open for a maximum of 21 days. UMarkets reserves the right to close positions held longer than that. The professional web platform is stated to have no equivalent duration limit.

The agreement describes the service as execution-only. UMarkets says it is not required to provide investment advice, monitor trades, issue margin calls or close positions. Phone trading is available during trading hours, but customers must identify themselves, confirm trade details and accept that calls may be recorded and used as evidence in disputes.

Copy trading

The terms describe a copy-trading service that can automatically recreate another trader’s transactions without separate consent for each trade. A copied-account provider may receive a performance fee calculated as:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Performance Fee = Subscription’s raw profit × Fee %

UMarkets warns that copy trading is highly speculative and can result in significant losses. Automatic replication does not remove market risk, leverage risk or the risks associated with the broker’s own terms.

UMarkets customer ratings

The Trustpilot profile for umarkets.net currently displays:

  • TrustScore: 2.5 out of 5
  • Displayed review score: 2.3
  • Total reviews: 7
  • One-star reviews: 100%
  • Profile status: unclaimed

Trustpilot says the company has no history of asking customers for reviews and cautions that the reviews may not be representative. The small sample means the score should not be treated as a statistical measure of every customer’s experience.

Two recent reviews shown on the profile are dated January 6, 2026 and May 27, 2026. Both are rated one star. The May review alleges pressure to deposit additional funds, while the January review alleges that a “verification bond” was requested before withdrawal. These are customer allegations, not independently adjudicated findings.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The older umarkets.com Trustpilot profile contains numerous one-star reports alleging delayed or refused withdrawals, requests for taxes or additional deposits, aggressive account-manager contact and unexplained account losses. That profile concerns an older domain, so it should be kept separate from the current .net profile.

A Reviews.io page for umarkets.com includes positive-looking withdrawal testimonials, but several are marked “Unverified Reviewer” and refer to unrelated recovery or assistance websites. They are not dependable evidence of UMarkets’ withdrawal performance.

How complaints are handled

UMarkets’ terms say complaints should be submitted in writing to the assigned account manager, with a copy sent to the company’s complaints email address. The account manager is given seven business days to attempt a resolution. If the matter remains unresolved, it is escalated to a Compliance Officer, with stated seven-business-day response and resolution periods and a possible additional seven-business-day period.

The agreement says disputes are governed by the law of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts there. This is a significant practical disadvantage for customers in the UK or elsewhere who may need to pursue a dispute internationally.

Should you use UMarkets?

No. The broad product list and XCritical platform do not compensate for the regulatory warning and restrictive legal conditions.

The strongest verified conclusion is not that every negative online allegation is proven. It is that UMarkets combines:

  • an FCA warning identifying UMARKETS as unauthorised;
  • a CNMV warning compilation that includes umarkets.net as an unregistered entity;
  • possible non-segregation of customer funds;
  • withdrawal limits, documentation requirements and a possible 5% withdrawal fee;
  • an inactivity charge of 5% of the balance per month after 90 days;
  • bonus turnover requirements reaching $30 million per $1,000 of bonus;
  • broad rights to reverse trades or change trading conditions; and
  • weak public ratings, albeit from a very small sample.

Readers looking for a conventional broker should instead verify authorisation directly on the website of the relevant financial regulator, check whether client money is segregated, and read the withdrawal and bonus terms before opening an account. On the evidence available here, UMarkets is not suitable for investors seeking strong regulatory oversight or conventional investor protection.

FAQ

Is UMarkets a legitimate broker?

UMarkets operates a website and offers trading services, but it should not be treated as a regulated mainstream broker. The FCA lists UMARKETS as an unauthorised firm, and the current umarkets.net domain appears in a CNMV warning compilation concerning unregistered entities.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Is UMarkets regulated by the FCA?

No. The FCA warning says UMARKETS is unauthorised. Customers dealing with the firm would not have access to UK Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS protection.

What platform does UMarkets use?

The current website promotes XCritical Online Platform, an xCritical trading application and FX Helper. Current pages do not present MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 as the main platforms.

What is the minimum deposit at UMarkets?

The indexed account page lists minimum deposits of $500 for Mini, $5,000 for Standard, $10,000 for Gold and $35,000 for Platinum. These figures may change under the company’s legal terms.

Can I withdraw the UMarkets bonus?

Not immediately. The terms require substantial trading volume before the bonus and trading income can be withdrawn. For bonuses up to $10,000, the stated requirement is $10 million in volume for each $1,000 of bonus.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does UMarkets charge withdrawal fees?

The terms state that withdrawals must generally use the deposit method, may be subject to limits and may require additional documents. If fewer than five independent trades have been made, the company may charge 5% of the withdrawal amount.

What is the UMarkets Trustpilot rating?

The umarkets.net Trustpilot profile displays a 2.3 review score and 2.5 TrustScore from seven reviews, with all displayed reviews rated one star. The sample is small and should be interpreted cautiously.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: UMarkets has a broad advertised product range, but its FCA unauthorised-firm warning, CNMV-listed registration concern, non-standard withdrawal conditions, restrictive bonus rules and weak public ratings make it unsuitable for readers seeking a strongly regulated broker. The Finance Base’s verdict is do not recommend.
