Standard has no monthly fee, while Plus and Premier cost $30 and $95 per month unless their respective waiver conditions are met. Their interest rates and features differ, so the right choice depends on your balance, eligibility for Standard’s interest, payment activity and need for higher-tier controls. This review separates current terms from the historical 2024 title: the rates below are Bluevine’s terms effective March 12, 2026, not evidence of what the account offered in 2024.

How Bluevine interest works
Standard: an activity condition applies
Standard’s advertised 1.3% APY applies only when the account meets Bluevine’s eligibility requirement during the relevant eligibility period, and only to balances up to $250,000. Check the current interest terms for the exact qualifying activity; do not assume that simply holding a balance earns the advertised rate.
#1 Best Overall
Plus and Premier: automatic interest eligibility
Bluevine’s terms effective March 12, 2026 state that Plus and Premier customers are automatically eligible for interest. Plus lists 1.75% APY on up to $250,000; Premier lists 3.0% APY on all balances. The advertised APY is only one part of the decision: paid-plan fees, waiver conditions and the business’s actual balance and usage also matter.
These rates are Bluevine product terms, not an independent yield comparison. The sources do not calculate which plan would deliver the best net value for a particular business. Estimate interest and fees using your likely balance and confirm the current terms before applying.

Which plan might fit your business?
- Consider Standard if avoiding a monthly plan fee is the priority and you can meet the monthly activity requirement when you want to earn interest. Its listed interest cap is $250,000.
- Compare Plus with Standard if you expect to keep a balance within the $250,000 cap, value automatic interest eligibility or will use the additional sub-accounts and payment-fee discounts. Compare any fee waiver you can actually meet with the $30 stated monthly fee.
- Evaluate Premier against your real balances and needs if the higher listed APY, interest on balances above $250,000, up to 50 sub-accounts, ACH positive pay or priority support would be useful. Weigh those benefits against the $95 stated monthly fee and its waiver conditions.
Payment volume, expected wire use and the need to mail checks can affect the comparison. Bluevine lists discounts on most Standard payment fees for Plus and Premier, but the source does not provide an independent total-cost calculation for any business. Model your own expected fees rather than treating one plan as universally best.
Is Bluevine a bank, and how does deposit insurance work?
Bluevine states, “Bluevine is a financial technology company, not a bank.” Its pricing page identifies Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC, as the provider of banking services for ACH or wire payments from the account. In practical terms, Bluevine provides the financial technology interface and the banking services are provided through a partner bank.
Rank #3
Bluevine says deposits may be insured up to $3 million per depositor through Coastal Community Bank and program banks. That is not $3 million of coverage at one bank: the stated amount depends on distributing funds across multiple banks, and pass-through FDIC coverage depends on applicable requirements being met. Review the deposit agreement and sweep-program details for how your funds are held and whether the conditions apply to your circumstances. See Bluevine’s plan and banking disclosures.
Fees and limitations to check
- Monthly plan fees: Standard is listed at $0 per month. Plus is $30 and Premier is $95 unless their respective waiver conditions are met.
- Cash deposits: Bluevine lists a $4.95 fee per cash deposit at Green Dot locations.
- Wires and card replacement: Bluevine says wire-transfer and card-replacement fees may apply. Check the current fee schedule for the transaction and card involved.
- ACH and overdrafts: Bluevine advertises free standard ACH and no overdraft fees. These claims do not eliminate other fees or account-agreement limits.
- Transaction limits: “Unlimited transactions” remains subject to deposit and withdrawal amount limits in the account agreement.

Bluevine describes the account as available to qualified U.S.-registered businesses owned by people in select countries, with applications subject to approval. The title refers to 2024, but the available dated historical reference is not sufficient to reconstruct all 2024 plan fees, rates and features. The current pricing and interest terms above are explicitly dated to Bluevine’s materials and, for interest, effective March 12, 2026. They should not be backdated. Bluevine’s current plan page is the appropriate place to verify today’s terms before making a decision.
