The most widely reported figure for Blackburn Rovers’ owners is £1.66 billion, an estimate published in 2023 for Venky’s/V H Group—not a verified, current personal net worth for the Rao family. For comparison, FourFourTwo estimated Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke’s wealth at £16 billion in 2026, roughly ten times as much. Those figures come from different years and publications, so they indicate scale rather than a like-for-like ranking.
What is the Venkys’ estimated net worth?
The72 reported an estimated £1.66 billion for Venky’s/V H Group in 2023 as part of a ranking of Championship club owners. That is a secondary-source estimate for the group; it is not an audited disclosure of the personal wealth of Blackburn’s owners, nor a verified figure for their wealth today. Blackburn Rovers’ 2024 accounts identify Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd. as the club’s ultimate parent and name Anuradha J Desai, B Venkatesh Rao and B Balaji Rao as its ultimate controllers. How does the estimate compare with a Premier League owner?
FourFourTwo’s 2026 football rich list estimated Stan Kroenke’s wealth at £16 billion. Comparing that estimate with The72’s 2023 Venky’s/V H Group figure gives a rough difference of about ten to one. It is not a precise, current comparison: the publications used different methods, and the figures were published three years apart.

FourFourTwo’s 2026 football rich list provides the Kroenke estimate. Together, these are useful for a broad scale comparison, but they do not establish a definitive ranking of the richest owners in the Premier League.
Why club value is not an owner’s net worth
Football club valuations and owner wealth answer different questions. Forbes reported Manchester City’s $5.5 billion enterprise value in May 2026. Likewise, the resources of a fund or an acquisition consortium should not be presented as one owner’s personal fortune. Newcastle United’s acquisition was completed on 7 October 2021 by an investment group that included Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media. What is known about a possible Blackburn sale?
On 2 April 2025, BBC Sport reported that Blackburn’s chief executive and chief operating officer said Venky’s did not want to sell and had received no concrete offers. COO Suhail Pasha said: “I can’t answer the question because obviously they are the owners of the club.” This is a statement reported at that time, not confirmation of the owners’ position in October 2026. Can the Venkys be ranked among the richest Premier League owners?
Not reliably from these figures alone. The £1.66 billion estimate is dated and refers to Venky’s/V H Group, while the £16 billion figure is a later estimate for an individual. Club enterprise values, investment funds and consortium resources are still different measures. A defensible league-wide ranking would require current figures measured on a consistent basis for each owner or ownership group; the available figures do not provide that comparison.
