Brianna Coppage, an English teacher at St. Clair High School in Missouri, was placed on leave in September 2023 after the school district was notified about her OnlyFans account. She resigned the following month. Superintendent Kyle Kruse said she was not asked to resign, and the district later described her departure as voluntary. Coppage said she moved into adult-content work full time.
What happened to Brianna Coppage?
Coppage taught English to freshmen and sophomores at St. Clair High School. She said she began posting on OnlyFans in summer 2023 to supplement her income as a second-year teacher. In September, the district placed her on leave after administrators interviewed her and opened an investigation into online media associated with an employee.
Superintendent Kyle Kruse said the district had been notified that an employee may have posted inappropriate media online. He said: “The district has engaged legal counsel to conduct a comprehensive investigation into this matter.” Coppage said no content was filmed or posted on school grounds. The reporting does not establish a finding that she violated a school policy.

How did the district learn about the account?
Coppage said she did not know how the district found the page and thought her appearance in a video with other creators might have drawn attention. In a statement later reproduced by CNN Newssource, the district said a person unaffiliated with the district notified it and that district officials had not discovered the website themselves. The available accounts do not establish every step in how the account came to the district’s attention.

Why did she leave teaching?
The district’s account and Coppage’s account describe different parts of the decision. Kruse said she was not asked to resign, and the district characterized the resignation as voluntary. Coppage later told The Messenger, in an interview cited by PerthNow, that returning to school would not feel the same: “I knew that nothing was ever going to be the same if I went back.” PerthNow reported that she returned to adult entertainment full time and linked that decision to her wish for her former students’ lives to return to normal.
In remarks reported by the Associated Press, Coppage said: “I do not regret joining OnlyFans. I know it can be taboo, or some people may believe that it is shameful, but I don’t think sex work has to be shameful.”

What is known about her status now?
The cited reports cover events in 2023. They do not verify Coppage’s employment or creator status in October 2026, so her 2023 decision to pursue adult-content work full time should not be read as confirmation that she is still doing so.
