The campaign ran from July 15 through August 15, 2025, and XM said eligible cashback would be credited to participants’ MyWallet by August 23, 2025. It should not be treated as an offer available for registration in August 2026.
The promotion used progressive volume tiers rather than paying the top rate on every lot. It also applied to a limited group of markets: Gold, Silver and Bitcoin pairs were reported as eligible, while forex was excluded.
How XM’s anniversary cashback worked
XM described the campaign as offering “unlimited cashback.” That meant there was no maximum total payout once a trader moved beyond the highest volume tier. It did not mean that every eligible lot earned cashback, or that the highest rate applied retroactively to all previous trades.
The first five eligible lots earned nothing. Cashback began with the sixth eligible lot and increased as cumulative eligible volume crossed each threshold:

The tiers were marginal. For example, a participant completing 20 eligible lots would receive:
- Lots 1–5: $0
- Lots 6–15: 10 lots × $4 = $40
- Lots 16–20: 5 lots × $5 = $25
- Total: $65
Reaching the $7 tier therefore did not turn the earlier 50 lots into $7 lots. This distinction matters when estimating the actual return from the promotion.
Which XM accounts and instruments were covered?
Published campaign material identified Standard, Micro, Investor and Strategy Manager account categories as eligible. However, the volume calculation was described as applying to eligible trading conducted through Standard and Micro instruments or accounts.
The reported eligible markets were:
- Gold
- Silver
- Bitcoin pairs
Forex was excluded from the anniversary cashback calculation. That is narrower than XM’s general product range, which includes forex and other CFDs. Articles or advertisements describing the campaign as covering all XM trades are therefore misleading.
XM operates through different legal entities, and product or promotion availability can vary by country. “Global” did not mean every person worldwide qualified. Eligibility depended on the relevant XM entity, jurisdiction, account status and the campaign’s terms. XM’s legal information excludes residents of several jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, Israel and Iran.

How registration worked
Registration was required. Simply trading Gold, Silver or Bitcoin pairs did not automatically establish participation.
The reported route in the XM Member Area was:
- Log in to the XM Member Area.
- Open Promotions.
- Select the 15th-anniversary cashback promotion.
- Choose Register.
After registration, participants could locate the wallet area by logging in, expanding the Member Area menu and selecting MyWallet.
MyWallet was XM’s internal wallet facility, not a bank account or a separate card-based cashback account. The campaign cashback was credited there first. Subject to XM’s account and payment rules, funds could then be transferred to a linked trading account for trading or withdrawal.
Trading conditions that affected cashback
Not every lot visible in a trading account necessarily counted as eligible volume. The published campaign rules included several restrictions:
- The first five eligible standard lots did not earn cashback. The sixth eligible lot was the first cashback-bearing lot.
- The trade needed at least a 20-pip difference between its opening and closing price. On platforms using point notation, this was reported as 200 points.
- Trades financed with bonus credit did not qualify to the extent that bonus funds financed them.
- Hedged orders did not count toward the required volume.
- No minimum holding period was reported. The relevant condition was the opening-to-closing price difference, not a stated number of minutes or hours.
The credit-funding rule could reduce the volume that counted. In practical terms, if promotional credit supplied part of the equity or margin supporting a position, only the corresponding non-credit-funded portion might be included in the cashback calculation. Traders could not safely assume that the full nominal lot size would qualify.

When and where the cashback was paid
The campaign ran from July 15 to August 15, 2025. Available reporting stated that cashback was due to be credited to MyWallet by August 23, 2025.
That settlement method means the promotion was not an instant cash rebate after each qualifying trade. Participants should also distinguish between the advertised end date and a guaranteed full-day cutoff. The available reporting gives the campaign dates but does not establish a universal closing time on August 15. It is therefore inaccurate to assume that every trade placed at any time on August 15 necessarily qualified.
What “unlimited” did—and did not—mean
The word referred to the absence of a total payout ceiling after the 51st eligible lot. It did not remove the other restrictions:
- The first five eligible lots paid nothing.
- Only qualifying volume counted.
- The rates applied progressively rather than retroactively.
- Forex trades were excluded from this campaign.
- Bonus-funded and hedged trades could be excluded or reduced.
- Participation required registration.
For example, a trader completing 51 eligible lots would receive $0 for lots 1–5, $40 for lots 6–15, $75 for lots 16–30, $120 for lots 31–50 and $7 for lot 51. The total would be $242, not $357 based on applying $7 to all 51 lots.
Why the promotion should not be used as a current offer
The campaign’s promotional window ended on August 15, 2025, and its stated credit deadline was August 23, 2025. A page describing it as available now would be out of date.

Anyone reviewing a newer XM promotion should check the current terms directly rather than assuming that the same instruments, rates, funding rules or payment date apply. Promotional conditions can change by campaign and by XM legal entity. In particular, traders should verify:

- Whether registration is still open and where it appears in the Member Area.
- Which account types and instruments are eligible.
- Whether forex is included or excluded.
- How bonus credit, hedged positions and partial funding affect volume.
- When rebates are paid and whether they go to MyWallet or another destination.
- Whether the client’s country and XM entity permit participation.
Cashback should also be evaluated against trading costs and risk. A rebate does not make a losing strategy profitable, and trading more lots to reach a higher tier can increase spread, commission, financing and market-loss exposure.

How much cashback did the first five lots earn?
Nothing. Cashback began with the sixth eligible lot. Lots 6–15 paid $4 per lot, followed by higher marginal rates at later volume thresholds.
Did reaching 51 lots mean all 51 lots paid $7?
No. The tiers were progressive. Only lot 51 onward paid $7 per lot; earlier lots remained subject to the $4, $5 and $6 tiers.
Where was the cashback credited?
It was scheduled to be credited to XM’s MyWallet. Funds could then be transferred to a linked trading account for trading or withdrawal, subject to XM’s applicable rules.
Was registration required?
Yes. The reported process was Member Area → Promotions → select the anniversary cashback promotion → Register. Trading an eligible instrument alone did not automatically enroll a client.
