The initiative is intended to bring regenerative agriculture into large-scale commodity production through training, technical support and ongoing monitoring. Public materials describe its practices and framework, but do not establish how many suppliers have joined, how much land is enrolled or what measurable results participants have achieved.
What Amaggi Regenera is—and who it is for
AMAGGI introduced Amaggi Regenera with regenerative-agriculture organization reNature at the Better Cotton Conference in Amsterdam in June 2023. The company describes it as a framework for commodity production, rather than a program limited to one crop. Its launch announcement framed the ambition as extending practices to other rural producers, including family farmers; Juliana Lopes, then AMAGGI’s ESG, Communications and Compliance Director, said: “We will scale up the program by disseminating best practices with other rural producers, including family farmers.” (Launch announcement; quoted statement)
AMAGGI says expansion to partner producers began in 2024, with training, technical support and monitoring. The 2024 progress-report result identifies Itamarati Farm as certified under the program and describes Amaggi Regenera as AMAGGI’s own certification. It also calls the seal independently verified, but does not provide audit-protocol details. (2024 progress report)
How the program says it will work with suppliers
The framework groups its approach under three pillars—soil, biodiversity and people—with economic resilience running across them. AMAGGI’s program descriptions give examples of practices under the environmental pillars, while the people pillar emphasizes producer and family-farmer knowledge and participation. #1 Best Overall
Soil
- No-tillage and cover crops.
- Precision agriculture.
- Responsible water use.
- Biopesticides.
Biodiversity
- Biological disease control.
- Integrated pest management.
- Conservation and restoration of native vegetation.
People and economic resilience
The people pillar centers producer and family-farmer knowledge and participation. Economic resilience is described as transversal, meaning it cuts across the other pillars rather than standing as a separate practice list. The public descriptions do not specify a common set of supplier-level economic indicators.
What is—and is not—known about the rollout’s scale
AMAGGI’s public materials establish an expansion effort, not a quantified supplier-wide adoption commitment. They do not state a supplier adoption target, the number of participating producers or total enrolled hectares. Nor do the sources cited here report measured environmental or social outcomes for supplier participants. The certification example at Itamarati Farm does not by itself establish broader participation or impact. (2024 progress report)
One separate AMAGGI announcement in 2025 concerns a carbon-credit project with NaturAll Carbon on a 25,000-hectare area at an AMAGGI farm in Rondônia, using Verra VM0042. That is a distinct project, not the enrolled area or target for Amaggi Regenera’s partner-producer expansion. (NaturAll Carbon announcement)

Practice examples and a certification label can describe a program’s design, but they are not a substitute for disclosed participation and outcome data. To assess the rollout’s scale and effects, useful details would include:
Rank #3
- Producer counts and enrolled hectares, with the reporting date and the share of eligible suppliers represented.
- Practice criteria and how they vary by crop, region and farm conditions.
- Monitoring indicators, a baseline and the period over which changes are measured.
- Audit or independent-verification methods, including what the certification covers.
- Reported environmental and social outcomes, with the methods and boundaries used to calculate them.
AMAGGI’s 2022 progress report provides background on program development with Embrapa and the ambition to scale, but it does not supply the missing supplier totals or participant-level outcomes cited above. (2022 progress report; Climate and forest disclosure)
