Which Prime Day book deals are still available?
Neither 2026 sale window is live as of October 8, 2026. Amazon’s June Prime Day ran June 23–26, and Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7. The dates and deal claims come from Amazon’s June event announcement and October event announcement.
Those announcements do not establish current title-by-title prices or availability. A book that was promoted during an event may now have a different price, may be unavailable, or may no longer have the same offer. Check the live product listing rather than relying on a past sale headline.
What book discounts did Amazon advertise?
Amazon’s U.S. June announcement advertised print books across genres at up to 65% off and selected Kindle titles at up to 80% off. For October Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon announced thousands of print book deals at up to 65% off.

“Up to” is a maximum, not a typical or guaranteed discount. These are Amazon’s promotional claims for the events, not independent measurements of how much shoppers saved. The announcements do not show what any particular title cost or how its price compared with its usual selling price.
How to compare a book offer before buying
- Choose the format you want. Check whether the offer is for hardcover, paperback, or Kindle. Prices and availability can differ by edition, so a discount on one format does not establish a discount on another.
- Match the exact title and edition. Confirm the author, edition, and format on the product page before comparing prices.
- Check the current listing. Look at the price displayed now, the reference price shown with it, and whether the book is in stock or digitally available. The past event announcements do not verify any current listing price.
- Read the offer terms. Amazon described both events as Prime-member sales, but its announcements do not establish that every individual book listing required Prime membership. Confirm any eligibility or other terms on the listing.
- Confirm the sale is active. An old event announcement or deal roundup is not proof that an offer is still available.
What to know about Kindle book deals
Amazon’s up-to-80%-off figure applied to selected Kindle titles during June Prime Day; it was not a promise that all Kindle books were discounted or that the same prices continue after the event. Amazon’s Kindle deals coverage also relates to the historical 2026 sale, not current pricing. Check the Kindle edition’s live listing for its current price and availability.
