Is the app legit? The evidence does not verify Bitcoin Era as a regulated trading app or establish that its automated trading claims work. Its own website describes a marketing and software service that assigns users to third-party brokers. Regulators have issued historical, location-specific warnings about entities or domains using the Bitcoin Era name. If you are considering signing up, the key question is whether the exact broker you would contract with is authorised where you live—not whether the Bitcoin Era brand sounds credible.
What is Bitcoin Era, according to its website?
The Bitcoin Era website describes the service as software created by a development company and says it does not provide investment or brokerage services. It characterizes its role as technology, marketing, and advertising for third-party brokers, and says a broker is assigned automatically when a user signs up. The site tells users to check whether that broker is regulated and permitted to accept customers in their location. Bitcoin Era website
That description is the company’s own account, not independent confirmation that its software performs as advertised or that an assigned broker is authorised. It also means the Bitcoin Era name alone does not identify the firm handling a customer’s account.
What have regulators said about Bitcoin Era?
Several regulators have published warnings or caution notices about named Bitcoin Era entities, websites, or activity. These notices are tied to particular jurisdictions and dates; they do not establish the status or conduct of every similarly named site or of a broker assigned today.

The commission urged residents to use caution with unregistered firms. BCSC caution list |
| New Zealand — Financial Markets Authority (FMA) | Warning, 23 July 2020 | The FMA said it was concerned Bitcoin Era and associated websites may be operating a scam, and that Bitcoin Era was not a registered company or financial service provider in New Zealand. It also warned of fake news articles impersonating New Zealand media outlets and journalists. The FMA’s statement was a warning, not a court finding. FMA warning |

The scope matters: each notice addresses named activity or entities in a specific place and at a specific time. The records do not identify which broker a particular user might receive, establish that broker’s current registration, or describe its custody and withdrawal arrangements.
Is Bitcoin Era a scam, safe, or regulated?
The available evidence supports treating Bitcoin Era as high risk and unverified, not as a verified regulated trading app. The New Zealand FMA wrote on 23 July 2020, “We are concerned that Bitcoin Era and its associated websites may be operating a scam.” That is the regulator’s expressed concern, not a finding by a court. So, is Bitcoin Era regulated? The cited records show that named Bitcoin Era entities or activity were not registered, or were warned against, in those jurisdictions at the dates given. They do not settle the status of a current site or an assigned broker in your country. Is it safe? These records do not verify the service’s performance, the identity of the firm receiving your money, or how funds are held. No independently verifiable Bitcoin Era trading-performance statistic is established by these sources.

How to check the broker before sending money
- Record the exact site and firm. Note the complete website address and the broker’s legal name as shown after signup. A brand name is not enough to identify the contracting firm.
- Search your local regulator’s records. Look up the exact legal entity and domain in the financial regulator’s register and warning database for your country or province. Confirm that any permissions cover the specific service offered; company registration alone does not necessarily mean investment authorisation.
- Check the account relationship. Establish which legal entity would hold or control your funds, where it is located, and what withdrawal terms, fees, complaint routes, and redress protections apply. Do not assume the Bitcoin Era website itself is the broker.
- Demand evidence for performance claims. Automated trading, AI language, testimonials, and claimed returns are not proof of results. The regulator notices cited here do not provide independently audited Bitcoin Era returns or a verified track record.
Claims and payment requests that warrant extra caution
Promises of high guaranteed returns with little or no risk are a general crypto-fraud warning sign, not a Bitcoin Era-specific finding. SEC and CFTC staff advise investors to scrutinize websites claiming to operate crypto advisory or trading businesses. SEC and CFTC investor alert
If you have already sent money and someone asks for an additional payment to release funds, do not send more until you have independently checked the situation with your regulator and payment provider. The same SEC/CFTC alert describes advance-fee demands as a known fraud pattern. Save messages and transaction records, and contact the payment provider promptly to ask what options are available.

Do user reviews prove Bitcoin Era is legitimate?
No. Trustpilot displays user-submitted ratings and reviews, but those submissions do not establish that a service is authorised, that its trading claims are accurate, or that customers can withdraw funds reliably. Trustpilot Bitcoin Era reviews
